Alarm clock radio feature

I am unsure as to how to set the time on this stereo, and how to set it to turn on at a certain time. Right now it starts playing in the middle of the afternoon, which I did not set it to do, but I would like to set it to turn on in the morning. If you know how to do this I would really appreciate your advice. Thank you

Before you do anything else, Cancel the Timer setting, which is activating the machine to start Playing in the afternoon. You will need the machine's Remote for this. On the Remote, Press TIMER repeatedly, while pressing SHIFT, till the Clock Symbol disappears from the Front Display. Now if you have to reset the Timer to play the machine at a different time - early morning, as you desire, follow these steps. First You have to make sure that the clock is set to the correct Time.Is it? Fine. If it is not, read trhe Owner's Manual and set it to the correct Time. Take note that you mark the AM or PM funtion properly. After the time is set correctly, You gotta set the clock to Switch On the set at a designated time in the morning. Follow the "Setting the Timer" instructions in the Manual to do so. Please do make the effort. I am here to help you, but I also do not encourage spoon feeding. You havta to some work yourself too. If you are still unable to do so, mail me at, and I shall send you step - by - step instructions Good Luck!

When the radio comes on at the set time, it starts very soft then blares enough to wake the dead. Certainly don't need an alarm clock with this thing.

THis is probably a 'feature'. Quiet start, so as not to startle you, increasing to make sure you wake. Try waiting for it to get loud and then adjust the volume that you require.

The buzzer goes off at 12 midnight every night

You probably have an alarm feature on the radio.
The common default time for timepieces is 12:00.
Find the alarm setting and set the alarm off.
If you cannot turn it off set it for 11 am.

I am using my mother's Elgin 3400E travel alarm

On my Elgin alarm clock, you just push the nap button and it will add 15 minute increments for a nap. I haven't figured out how to turn it off if I change my mind or wake up earlier than I set it.

How do i set my alarm and when do i know it is on or off....keeps coming on and i dont know how to shut off the alarm...thank you

This clock radio features a dual alarm system, with two separate alarms that can be operated independently. The alarms can be set to wake two people at different times, or to have a main alarm and a backup. One alarm features your choice of radio stations as an alarm wake sound, while the second features a buzzer wake sound. You can set the radio alarm, the buzzer alarm, or both alarms.
Setting Radio Alarm
1. Press the "Alarm Set" Button. The display will flash and the Radio Alarm Indicator will appear. If you do not begin setting the time within ten seconds of pressing the it, the display will stop flashing andd you will need to press the "alarm Set Button again. 2. While the display flashes, press the "Tuning/Set" Buttons to set the wake time. Hold a button for a few seconds to advance the time rapidly. Be sure to set the correct AM/PM time, as shown by the PM Indicator. 3. After setting the radio alarm time, you will need to select the station to wake up to. First, press the "AM/FM" Button to select a radio frequency. Next, select a station using the "Radio Preset Buttons". Rotate the Volume Thumbwheel to set a wake sound volume level. 4. After setting the radio alarm wake time and sound, you will need to select your 7-5-2 setting. The 7-5-2 setting lets you set the alarm for a full week, weekdays only, or the weekend. Before setting the alarm, be sure that the correct date is set. 5. After you have set the radio alarm wake time, wake sound, and 7-5-2 setting, press the "Alarm Set" Button twice so that the display shows the standard, non-flashing display.
Setting Buzzer Alarm
1. Press the "Alarm Set" Button twice. The display will flash and the Buzzer Alarm Indicator will appear. 2. While the display flashes, press the "Tuning/Set" Buttons to set the wake time, as described above. 3. After setting the buzzer wake time, use the "Date/7-5-2" Button to select the buzzer. 4. After you have set the buzzer wake time and 7-5-2 setting, press the "Alarm Set" Button once so that the display shows the standard, non- flashing display.
Activating the Alarms
1. To activate the radio alarm, press the "Radio Alarm" Button so that the Radio Alarm Indicator appears on the display. As long as this indicator appears, the alarm will sound at the set time and days. 2. To activate the buzzer alarm, press the "Buzzer Alarm" Button so that the Buzzer Alarm Indicator appears on the display. As long as this indicator appears, the alarm will sound at the set time and days. 3. When the alarm sounds, press the " Off/Reset" Button to turn off the alarm while still maintaining the programmed 7-5-2 alarm settings. To turn off an alarm and cancel its 7-5-2 settings, press its "Alarm Button" so that its Alarm Indicator no longer appears on the display. 4. To activate the snooze feature, press the "Snooze/Night-Light" Bar when the alarm sounds. The alarm will shut off for approximately nine minutes before sounding again. The feature can be repeated several times during the one-hour snooze cycle. 5. If it is not turned off, the alarm will sound for an hour before stopping. As long as an Alarm Indicator appears on the display, the alarm will sound at the set time, according to the 7-5-2 settings.

Hi i have a rca Clock Radio RP5435C i need to know how to set it.

Move the switch on the top back to either the clock symbol to set time or alarm 1 or 2 depending on which one you wish to set. On either side of the snooze button is a fwd and rev button. Push fwd to advance the time or rev to go back. If setting the alarm it will automatically turn the alarm on when you set it. To turn alarm on or off manually, push the button for the alarm you choose on the top rear right side.
