When is the last time you cleaned up your files? (Temps, internet files, etc.) Have you been using a GOOD anti-virus/spyware/malware program? That could be bogging it down. When is the last time you defragmented your drive? Is it possible for you to run your recovery program (or disk).

Have you tried to boot into safe mode? Will it perform any better there? (If you don't know how to do that comment back.)

Have you tried System Restore? Click Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Try to go back as far as you can when your computer was running better.

If that doesn't work, I would suggest you run your full recovery/restore program. Backup any important files first.

The problem could be like a lot of people they dont look atfer the computers they have i allways tell to empty internet folder , remove programs they no longer use, defrag there drive. people also have a lot of stuff loading up on startup remove any unessessary programs. if none of this works it will prob be the amount of memory you have . 1GB memory i would say to anyone these days is the min. Hope this helps you...

I have Guitar hero 5 but it takes forever to load on my PS2 slim line Is there anything I can do to speed up the loading process, as I' v just bought the game.

Please make sure the disk is clean and there are no scratches. You could also try cleaning the laser by VERY lightly brushing it with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.

Delete any start-up programs you don't want or use, this will help make it faster at boot-up. Go to Start Button > Programs > Start Up then delete unused programs.

You can also run disk defragmenter. Which will speed up the process of looking up files, making your computer faster. To access Start Button > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter.

There are other ways to make your computer faster like running anti-virus, spyware/adware programs, registry cleaners, and even re-installing Windows. If you still have problems take it to local computer service shop, not a "big box" store like a geek squad (they think everything is a virus).

I hope I helped your computer be faster. If you have questions please contact me on my profile. Good luck!

Very slow processing time

You should put Ubuntu on it. It's one of the fastest and easiest operating systems to use and best of all it's FREE. It's perfect for someone who will probably only use the internet and other small programs.
