I've downloaded the Driver Detective from about four different HP sites and all downloads give this same problem.

The computer I'm trying to install on is a Compac NX9105 or NX9110 with an HP badge on it.

There's no sound or audio in my desktop that problem start when the time i need to reformat my desktop computer

Your computer problem is caused by a missing sound driver. You have to reinstall your computer drivers by it's driver installation cd. if you don't have it or your computer or soundcard driver installation disk is missing. then do this.

Try to find out your motherboard or soundcard manufacturer. You can download the driver that your motherboards or soundcard needs . But if it is too expensive there, try to use driver magician , after installing, driver magician will automatically detect your computers missing or outdated drivers. All you have to do is to Click the all detected driver that driver magician has detected from your motherboard, it will automatically search the internet and download the driver that you have selected. Press save, then install. There you have it. Have a nice day.

I installed windows XP on my desktop and when i was about to play a music, it displayed no audio device. Can you help me in my problem? I am not familiar with this desktop. Any help is appreciated.

You need to install the motherboard's device drivers after installing Windows XP. If the audio card is built-in on the motherboard then you need to doenload the audio driver from the motherboard manufacturer's WEB site.
If the audio card is installed on the PCI expansion slot the you need to download the audio driver from the audio card manufacturer's WEB site.
If your computer isn't connected to the Internet then you need to download the drivers from a computer that has Internet connection and then copy these files to a flash memory stick and install them on your computer.
The other way to upgrade is to install a driver upgrade program, but this will only work if your computer has Internet connection is up and running. Try these WE sites :-

Driver audio

You need to install the compatible driver for the your sound card to solve the problem or you can open the device manager of your computer then click your sound devices, then click the properties tab then click the rollback drivers. If it doesn't work then go to the control panel, click printers and other hardware..in its left side click add hardware. a wizard searching for hardware will appear if you have the installer then put it to the cd-rom/dvd-rom. automatically it will be installed. If this doesn't work, you need an internet connection. Other option you can do is to download your driver in the internet.

Can't install audio driver

Hi!

Please try several things:
1. Try to delete your device from device manager if it exists there: right click on "My Computer" -> Manage -> device manager. Then - right click -> Scan for hardware changes, insert media with your driver software and/or let windows automatically search for driver.
2. Try to reboot in Save mode (reboot, press F8 until booting mode selection appears and choose save mode) and install driver in save mode.
3. If none of above helps - try to update your Windows XP and then try to install driver.
4. Try to change audio adapter physical slot - open your PC and just insert it to other PCI slot (also - de-dust your slots before :) ).
5. Try to unpack driver and manually select it during windows driver installation process (choose not to connect to internet when wizard asks -> Install from a specific location -> Don't search I will choose the driver to install -> Have disk -> browse -> select .inf file and click ok).

Hope this will help. Good luck!

I need drivers for windows 7

There may not be any. The company is no longer in business - from what I can see, they went out of business c. 2005, so there would be no driver support for anything past Windows XP.

No internet on old computer lost disc to Soundblaster Model S80220

I'M NOT SURE I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU WERE TRYING TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVER IF YOU WEREN'T CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET? EVEN IF THE GAMING COMPUTER ISN'T HOOKED UP TO THE INTERNET, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO IMPUT ANY DATA FROM A JUMP DRIVE, IF YOU DOWNLOADED IT FROM THE INTERNET. WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION YOU NEED TO USE ANOTHER COMPUTER TO DOWNLOAD THIS DRIVER, THEN INSTALL IT ON YOUR GAMING MACHINE. OK? DOES THIS HELP?

Hi trucker, click on the link I have listed below.
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modItemList.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0555768875.1210605120@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccccadeedgmlddjcgfkceghdgngdgnj.0&ModelDLOS=Windows+XP%7C132594&ModelDLCat=null&BV_SessionID=@@@@0555768875.1210605120@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccccadeedgmlddjcgfkceghdgngdgnj.0&ListType=Model&ct=DL&moid=1310939&rpn=PSAA2U&OrderBy=D&PublicStartIndex=0&PrivateStartIndex=0&PublicCutOff=&PrivateCutOff=&AddOldPublicItems=false&AddOldPrivateItems=undefined&all_docs=false&x=65&y=13

This will show all the drivers for the OS Win XP, for you're Satellite A105-S2071. From time to time a driver will not install correctly. This means either the driver is not correct or windows is just being stuborn. Running the .exe usually installs the software but other times the driver must be installed through device manager. (The correct driver). The link above shows me the sound driver files name is (sa100audiox.exe)
(Realtek Audio Driver for Windows XP (v5.10.0.5188; 12-06-2005; 22.98M)
Creat a folder on you're desktop & name it Realtek Driver.
Download the driver file into this folder & uncompress the .exe by double clicking on it.
Try installing normally. Than re-start the system. Test you're sound. If you're sound still does not function, install through device manager. Right click on My computer icon. Slide down to & left click properties. Click the hardware tab, than click the device manager button. Scroll down to & click the + sign next to sound, audio and game controller. (It may already be opened).
Right click once on the yellow ! point & left click update driver.
Show windows the way to the folder you created on you're desktop & click ok. Windows hardware wizard should install the the correct software you have givin it.

Good Luck!
