I have that problem when deleting songs. Currently it is sitting frozen in the "delete song" menu. Can't shut it off either. Also, whenever I plug it in to my computer, it automatically starts downloading songs from my library, when they've already been downloaded. Seems corrupt, or maybe the songs I've downloaded from Rhapsody are corrupt? I've added a 4gb external card to it and it seems to have made more problems. The same songs I've deleted keep showing back up even though I've deleted them both from Windows Media Player + my Sansa.

Try a soft reset by holding the power button for 10 seconds.

if that doesn't do it, your gonna have to try a full reset.

Starting with the power OFF (touch the center button to see ifthere's any activity), slide the power switch DOWN to the HOLDposition, exposing the wee orange dot.

On your PC, open a Windows Explorer window (My Computer).

Holdthe << rewind button of the scroll wheel down, while plugging it in to your computer. Keep that button held downuntil it pops up on the PC. Look for the"Found New Hardware" balloon in the system tray.

If it pops up, then try re-partitioning it
.

Go to this thread, and download a copy of the 1.01.11 firmware ( http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=sansafuse&thread.id=210) .

Downloadand install a new copy of the firmware as shown in that thread. BeSURE to unzip the file prior to proceeding. The extracted file will be15,360 Kbytes, named fuzea.bin. Shrink the WindowsExplorer window a wee bit, so that you can easily drag and drop thefuzea.bin binary file into the root directory of the Fuze. This isrepresented by the open Windows Explorer window; don't drop the fileinto any of the visible folders, but into the main box, representingthe root directory.

Once that's done, the display will gofrom "writing" to "connected" on the Fuze, you can disconnect thedevice. What we're looking for is the message "firmware upgrade inprogress" on the device.

Power up the Fuze, and select your language if that screen in active. Then format the device by using the Fuze's settings mode.

Also, remove the memory card if you have one in before all of this just to be safe.

Let me know if this works.

Slide the power switch up all the way and hold it for fifteen seconds before releasing it to reset the player. Then use the supplied Sansa Media Converter program to convert and transfer your videos and photos. If you don't have the SMC, you can download the Windows version from

2gb Sansa Fuze won't recognize 2gb Micro SD

place the blank card into the SanDisk player
go to SETTINGS press "enter"
go to SYSTEM SETTINGS press "enter
go to FORMAT press "enter"
it will ask "are you sure you want to format this device"?
select YES

dowload songs to REMOVABLE DISK drive F, at least that is what my PC assigned it to. You will overload your MP3 PLAYER if you continue to download to the Sanza Drive.

Hope this helps.
