The slot in the back of your TV is for upgrading the software version . It is like flashing the bios on a computer. If you are
having HDMI issues such as loss of audio, audio out of sync, color problems, intermittant shut off, snowy pix Etc. you may have to upgrade. Hitachi is aware of certain issues and they have downloads available to solve conflicts as they are identified.

How can i boost and speed up my Wifi network reception ?

Firstly download WiFi Analyser from Google Play store and compare you WiFi with others in your area. This will enable you to change the channel. Change channel by logging into your router - 192.168.1.1.
Try moving your router to a more central place in your home and use the analyser to check if any improvement.
Next try a wireless extender. This will drop your speed a little but give a stronger signal in weak areas.
Also try power line adapters.
If you are using a few devices ensure that you are not mixing wireless g and n products at same time. Using a g product will mean that your whole wireless will be running at that speed even when your other device is n. If you need both connect another g router to one of the n router LAN ports with dhcp disabled. That way you can have the two devices connected at the correct speed.
Some routers will let you connect a bigger aerial which could boost you reception. Some devices have very poor wireless antennas - seems you what you pay for in this area.

Im trying to see a movie and it shows every movie but when i choose it to see it it just stay loding and then it says theres and erro with the netflix

Antonio,
I have see this in the past at my place and would recommend you the following,
Restart your device
Restart your Home internet connection
Connect your TV/any other device directly to the Modem
Or Improve your Wi-Fi Signal by
If you're connecting over Wi-Fi and the above steps didn't help, try some or all of these steps to improve your wireless connectivity:
  • Move your router to a new location to improve signal strength--you'll usually see better reception throughout your home if the router is in a central location.
  • Wireless interference can cause big problems when trying to connect over Wi-Fi. Cordless phones, microwave ovens, or other wireless devices near your router can all cause wireless interference, so move them away from your wireless router.
  • Elevate your router off the floor. A router on top of a bookshelf or desk will give you better reception than one that's hidden behind it.
Hope This helps

The FM antenna is insufficient. I there a way to improve reception? Another antenna that will fit?

To improve reception, use a 75 Ohm outdoor antenna instead of an indoor antenna. Disconnect the indoor antenna before replacing it with an outdoor antenna.

Improve reception

HI there,

Well Yes you can improve the reception, please follow the below steps -

Improve FM Radio Reception -

1. If you don't have an antenna connected to your FM receiver, purchase a simple dipole antenna--a simple T-shape flexible wire-- and connect it to the FM antenna inputs on the receiver. Because FM signals are directional, you'll want to experiment with the positioning of the wire to find the best reception of the station you're trying to receive.

2. If you're still not getting a good signal, try an indoor amplified antenna, which you'll find at an electronics store. Don't buy one unless you get a guarantee that you can return it for full credit if it doesn't solve your reception problems.

3. If your signal is weak because you live a long way from the transmitter, install an outside antenna and mount it as high as is practical. If you're primarily interested in getting signals from one station or from a group of stations in one direction, get a directional antenna and point it toward the transmitters.

4. If you're using a portable FM radio where the only antenna is the power cord, stretch the cord as straight as possible and experiment with positioning again.

5. Temporarily switch to monaural mode to improve a weak signal on an FM receiver.

Improve AM Reception -

1. Gradually rotate the radio 360 degrees. Leave it in the position where it sounds best.

2. Reverse the AC plug if it isn't polarized. (If you can flip the plug over, then it's non-polarized.)

3. Plug the radio into a different AC outlet.

4. Move the radio closer to a window.

5. Experiment to learn if appliances and powered products in your home are causing interference: computer monitor, television, electric blanket, light dimmer, fluorescent light, hair dryer, air conditioner, smoke detector. If possible, turn off the offending item. Otherwise, move the radio to another room.

6. Upgrade to an external antenna if your receiver, tuner or radio has a place to connect one.

7. Buy a passive AM antenna that doesn't need to be connected to a radio or receiver.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

We have a Grundig S350DL radio that was my father's. There is no manual. FM works great. Can't get AM. Radio turns off on its own!! Any suggestions?

Hello,
The problem you are having may be due to some configuration settings (such as a timer). Not dtecting the AM signal, may be due to interference from power lines. To improve AM reception (if there is something to improve) one should rotate the radio to orient the internal ferrite antenna. Using the radio close to a window can improve reception.
To enable you to diagnose the problems that may be due to some configuration setting I give you the link to the radio's manual.

Hope it helps.
