When you say you're hearing a click noise, does it come from the back, front if the printer?

SOURCE: Lexmark C510 is making grinding noises while printing large jobs

I found another posting stating that the culprit was the black toner cartridge. Sure enough I changed our black cartridge and the grinding noise has stopped. No wonder the grinding noise was not happening all the time only when the black cartridge got low. Thanks for the help!

SOURCE: How do i reset a lexmark c534n? It won't let me

There might still be paper in the machine.
Or perhaps a small torn off chip of paper caught on a sensor somewhere.
If you recently had a paper jam, make sure you cleared it properly, and did not leave any bit behind, especially if thpaper tore as you removed it.
Check all doors and remove the toner cartridge to look underneath it.

SOURCE: Lexmark E450dn has a clicking noise and jams evry

On the left side after taking the panel off, there is a mtal plate with alot of gears on it. behind that is a gear and clutch assy., this assy. needs to be replaced, it is recommended that you replace them every 30,000 copies I believe, but don't quote me. Hope this helps

I get a warning message that the transfer belt on my C534n needs replacing. The specification says 120,000 prints, I have just run the diagnostics report and have done 28,000 only! Any ideas?

If you only printed 28,000 pages on your Transfer Belt kit, this might be a pre-mature failure and it needs a replacement. Please contact our Technical Support Hotline.

Lexmark c534n printer, warning for depleted color units do not go away after replacement

The supply counter must be reset manually after a photoconductor unit is replaced. Here's an article on How to Reset the Photo Conductor (PC) Page Count After Photo Conductor Unit Replacement on C52x and C53x Series Printers. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/dk8nHs. The C534n says Cyan low (0%) was printing, now won't print.

If you're still going to print in colors, unfortunately, it won't print and there's no way for the printer to ignore your out of ink level unless you change the cyan ink. I understand how costly that can be but you can still make the printer print if you configure it for black-only printing. Here's a link to download the User's Guide for the instructions on how to configure printer for Color Lock Out Mode. http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/c53x/en/ug.pdf . Scroll to Printing, page 50, for the instructions. Since you won't be printing in color, you have to remove the color supplies. The User's Guide will give you instructions for that as well.

Warning on Lexmark C534N printer about ''PC Unit Life''

The warning is for the photo conductor units, these are the four units that sit on the transfer belt. If you open the front cover you will see these units sitting on the inside of it when you pull it down. Normally when this message display, not long afterwards the print quality will start to suffer. From experience it's best to replace all four units together, because when one goes the rest seem to follow suit!
