Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

How do I download pics from camera to laptop, there was no software in Coolpix L330 bundle?

Often, if you simply connect the camera to your computer by the appropriately connectored USB cable (the camera is likely to have a mini connector; there may be one with the camera) the computer will recognize the camera, and ask if you want to download pictures using the windows wizard that exists for the purpose. You may need to be connected to the internet if you want your computer to search the internet for installation/or appropriate software.

Use a card reader and insert your memory card. Look for it under "My Computer" and it will be listed as a removable drive. Open it and you will see you photo files. Create a folder to hold the pictures on your PC. Select the jpg files on the card (removable drive), copy them, then paste them in the folder. If you have no photo editor on your PC, download the free "Fotor" at .

I have my usb inserted in my computer and I need help downloading my pictures. How do I do download pics to my computer?

If you have Windows all you should need to do is plug in your camera via usb, turn it on and put it in review mode and the computer should detect the camera and ask if you want to download your photos. If this doesn't happen automatically you can open my computer and look for the camera which should be listed, open the camera folder find the pictures you want (press control and a to select all) press control and c to copy, open my pictures, press control and v to paste.

I cannot get pictures to download. It has always worked in the past. I probably need a new cable maybe. Where do I get one.

Chances are, a Windows update is causing your problem. Pros avoid this very common problem by using a card reader for downloading pics. You should too. typrice_50.jpg

How to download pictures in my computer from a cyber-shot camara

You just have to connect your camera to the computer's usb port using the usb cable. Then right click on your windows START button and choose to click Explore. It will open the windows explorer. Look for the drive letter associated with the camera and click on it. It will show you the list or contents on the right. Just look inside one of those folders to find your pictures. Once found, you would have to select the pictures, then press CTRL c to copy. Then go somewhere on your computer and press CTRL v to paste. That's it.
