Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

How do I download pictures from a SD card to my computer?

With the SD card plugged into the computer, go to "My Computer" if XP, "Computer" if Windows Vista or 7, or "This PC" if Windows 8.

You should see the SD Card listed as a drive with a letter like D: or E:, double click it, then look for your pictures on the SD Card, hint - they may be under a folder called DCIM.

Once you find your pictures, highlight them and right click, choose copy, then click "Pictures" on the left side in the folder tree, and right click the space to the right where your pictures are located. Click paste.

That should put your pictures into your "My Pictures" folder.

How do I download pictures from FinePix F10 to my computer?

Hello. In order to extract the pictures from your FinePix F10 to your computer you will need an USB driver, which can be located here:

For Windows XP
For Windows 98
For Windows 2000
For Windows ME
For Windows VISTA
For Mac OS X
For Mac OS 8x

Enter the code shown and then download the file to your computer (desktop for example). Run it and install it properly!

Then, you will be able to extract or put pictures to your FinePix F10. It will appear a new Local Disk on "My Computer". Enter there and copy-paste your pictures/videos in different folders you will be able to view.

I hope I helped!

Check for the location where those pictures are being downloaded. Your system/computer might be set at a default location to download all objects.

It would also work using windows explorer, go to your Camera's drive and click-drag or copy those pictures and paste it in your local drive.

I cannot get pictures to download to a DP151 Digital picture player. I have tried two computers, an updated software download, and several reinstalls.

You can do it the hard way ... open *My Computer (twice) *open whatever drive the digital picture player is on (usually something like E: or F:) (it's plugged into your computer right?) with the other *My Computer window, open your picture folder and then just cut & paste or copy & paste. This is kind of the round-about way but I've had to do this with certain picture players. You can also go to the company website (picture player brand) and search for a specific driver needed to transfer files.
