I would check to make sure that your fans are working. All of them, especially the CPU Fan. If this fan is not working and your chip heats up, it will shut the system down.  Open up the case and check this also make sure no wires are blocking the fans keeping them from working properly.

WHY DOES MY HP LAPTOP KEEP CRASHING

heck dont they all? PC = crash.
its got like 3billion points of failure inside, or 20 cards.(moduels)
and software, add billions more.
NO PC stated, HP made 10,00o models for 33 long years
what PC? it has full model name and number.
WHAT OS? XP? Vista, Win7/8/10?
if a PC crashes, you get BSOD, blue screen of deathh(sic) or black screen with words(text), do you?

If running XP?, expect this for ever. XP is dead, and a virus magnet.
sure we can XP hp but it repeats this... run, cruise, infect , repeat.

that TPN-c126 is not the model number
In fact its the EPA/EU, power (sleep )and energystar
regulations RMN:TPN-C126 (the R means gov. regs)

Why is the power light flashing on my HP printer?

Check if has no small piece of paper stuck
Check USB cables (both sides) .Remove heads, first Black then color.
Disconnect USB. Still continues flasshing?
If flashing comtinues, try to uninstall - reinstall the printer.
If still "flashing" without any apparent reason take it to repair.

Just started up my Compaq Evo N600c about an hour ago as usual, the word COMPAQ came up(as it does) and then the screen went black, and around 40 short, thick, vertical, white lines appeared. Slowly they...

no photos presented of screen messing up, (sadly)
compaq = old, too old, why mess with so old a box/?
the screen is bad, and $100 is 5 times what it is worth as a whole.
find a PC 10 years or newer so its VIABLE and supported
and do not buy XP or VISTA anything, both are DEAD now.
Black with lines. (LCD problems, ('damaged")
most times means bad screen.
does the external screen work, ? at the 15pin jack there, called VGA.?
using and external screen (plugged in)
when did this PC last run good. 5 years ago?

using an external screen, re-install the unstated OS.

it came with WIN98 or XP (what it has now, click system in control panel and read what it is)
both those 2 are Dead OS/s now... dead and Virus magnets .

oddly HP has not deleted the over 10 year old support page
as most are..... that old. (you are very lucky, its like 1% chance this.)

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/compaq-evo-n600c-notebook-pc/316673/model/316675

you will need to re-Install the OS<

the media kits are here, if still suppoorted..

does this COMpaq, have the hot key F11
that when pressed at power on , wakeup the system refresh?

The screen on my HP pavilion dv2736us laptop stopped working completely out of the blue, with no apparent reason. It was working fine otherwise. I came back home after work to turn it on, and it came on...

Take your laptop into dark room and see if you can see a faint desktop on the screen. I want to know if the screen is actually dark or just dim because of a dead backlight. If there is nothing faitly showing up, try shining a flashlight on it and see if you can make out the desktop then. If you can't, try to hook up an exterior monitor to see if the signal can be sent to an external monitor. You may have to hold down the Fn key + an "F" key, may be F4, to toggle between the video outputs on your laptop. If that does not work, reboot and when you hear a beep, tap F8 to try and get the computer to boot to safe mode, this will trigger the laptop to show a safe mode resolution. If this does not work, then there is the possibility that either the video circuit has died, the laptop has a serious virus that has shut down the video circuit, or the screen inverter has dies which will not allow a video signal to be processed by the screen.

Hp vs15, black screen, power light goes on and off like it is in sleep mode

Monitor is dead. The LCD inverter board probably went out and needs replacing. More than likely, it will cost you over $100 to get it fixed. It's better to spend the money on a new monitor.

I believe you should select the top MICROSOFT XP HOME EDITION line as the newer versions of Windows "instances" are placed on top.
