sounds as if you cut the wrong wire.... i would recommend taking the cd player out and trying to patch everything back up to original and maybe get someone to fit the cd player for you? hope this helps
Disconnect the servo hose, remove 6 bolts, pop the pump off with harness bracket making a note of the bracket for refitting. Clean mating faces of pump & block, loosely assemble pump to block with new gasket and with harness bracket located under head of bolt noted during removal. Evenly tighten the bolts to depress the pump plunder and tighten finally to 25Nm. Reconnect the vaccum hose and secure with clip.
You wll need a stereo installation adapter kit. This will change the dash opening to the size you need, oftentimes by replacing an entire dash panel for a factory look.
My guess would be that your sat nav was retro fitted, i'e not factory fitted. Who ever fitted it didn't use the correct wiring harness. It seems they may have used a wiring harness which didn't have the connection for a CD changer.
If you want to get this fixed you will need to replace the wiring harness which means stripping out the entire interior of your car, i.e seats, carpet, door panel. or you can live with the single CD which works.

i dare say your cd player has had something move internally from the shock of the accident and thats whats causing the fault. lol either that or someone has gone and forced a 7th cd into it. i think the cheapest and easiest way to fix this would be to get a fascia kit and a new cd player beacuse ford will charge like a wounded bull for a replacement one. this is what i did after i serviced my car and got given the wrong code for the cdplayer from the ford dealership
