Question about RCA D52W20 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I replaced the fl231 fuse because the convergence fuse went out (the option for the convergence in the setup menu was gone)and it fixed the problem for 4 days then it did it again. So then i replaced the same fuse again and the tv worked for a couple of hours then the convergence went out again only this time the option for the convergence in the setup menu is still there but when you click on it it doesnt let you adjust anything and the auto convergence starts to go but then quits after a few seconds and the picture looks the same.
I dont know anything about tvs i just got the idea to change the fuse from this forum. if it is the convergence board where is the board located?
any help would be awsome
These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit wiith instructions from the links below.
