Disable any firewalls on the machine like Windows firewall or any other firewall like Norton, McAfe, ZoneAlarm and something like that. Or if you have firewall policies or access rules, you must enable the sharing there.

How can I add a brother 145 printer so all laptops in the house can use it wireless

This model printer has only an USB printer connection and normally connected to a computer or laptop.
To connect this printer wirelessly to all laptops on your wireless network there are a couple of methods.
Connect the printer to a desktop computer and setup the printer as a shared printer. Next connect the desktop computer to your wireless router with a LAN cable and then configure the wireless laptops to connect to the shared printer on the desktop computer. NOTE - This desktop computer and printer must be on at all times for the wireless laptops to print to the printer.
OTHER METHOD
Connect the printer to an USB print server and connect the print server to the wireless router with a LAN cable. The printer drivers needs to be installed on all the wireless laptops and then the printer port needs to be deleted from the USB port and a new IP address printer port installed. This IP address will be the IP address of the print server.

According to Belkin, here's how to do it:
Begin by clicking Windows Logo > Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet.
Click on Network & Sharing Center.
Click the name of the connection you wish the edit, to the right of Connections.
Click Properties.
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
Click the radio button next to Use the following DNS server addresses:. This will allow you to enter the DNS server addresses.
The DNS addresses are as follows:
Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
Click OK on each of the windows and close the Control Panel. Your computer is now configured to use statically assigned DNS server addresses.

your router will start working fine. for more information you may visit on

Access point router and wireless router communication

You said that the router connected to the modem is acting like an access point. that means the DHCP server on that router must be disabled. The second router is connected to the first with the ethernet port. What you can do, you can enable the DHCP server on the first router and make the second router work as an access point.
so that both the computers will be in the same IP address range.
If they are already in the same IP address range then you can try to ping the second computer's IP address form the first computer.

Hi,

Plug in Internet cable into WAN Port, Switch OFF your Router and then ON, Disable Wireless Network Card of your Laptop and then Enable. Verify IP configuration of the router and Internet Server. Also check if it is DHCP or Manual. Follow instructions.

Using 2 routers

You may use your wireless router as an Access Point:

1. Connect one of the LAN port of the Belkin to a LAN port on your Voyager. If the link light on both side are not coming on, try using a cross-over cable. Important: Do not connect anything to the WAN port of your Belkin.

2. Configure the LAN IP address of your Belkin in the same subnet as the Voyager. By example, if your Voyager has 192.168.0.1, you may give your Belkin 192.168.0.3.

3. Disable the DHCP server on the Belkin since the Voyager most likely already has one.

4. Configure the Wireless parameter of your Belkin as you would normaly do.

Using this method, your wired and wireless devices will be able to communicate together since they will be on the same network and your Belkin will act as a bridge between the wired and wireless network.

Wont connect to the internet

Try this, assuming you're using Internet Explorer: Go to Tools > Internet Options and select the Connections tab. Does it show your old dial-up connection in the list? If so highlight it and click on REMOVE. Close IE and re-open it. It should now use the Belkin LAN connection.
