Question about Linksys WUSB54GSC Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter w/ SpeedBooster [WUSB54GSC] (LS-SB54GSC)
My computer crashed and I need to reinstall some of my programs. I cannot get my wireless-g to be recognized.
When I put the Linksys CD into the computer it prompts me to connect to the enternet. DUH! How can I until I can get the adapter to work? My linksys router is already working on 3 other computers, so a signal is going out. It is not practical for me to move my computer to the router for a hard connection. How do I get the computer to recognize my adapter and its signal?
if the wieless G is already installed don install the linksys cd,
in ur working computer go to the lynksis page and set the wireless to manual and to channel 9
then in the non working computer open the wireless g utility and look for options such as let this tool mange wireless if ticked uncheck it, or let windows manage wireless check the option close that box
then start-control panel-network connection-wireless network connection-right click on it -view avail wireless networks and slect ur network and click to connect enter the wireless key and u will be connected to internet
