I have a whirlpool gold quiet partner IV and it is four yrs old. About a week ago, it was no longer 'quiet'. It is running really loud. Could the motor be burning out already??

Could be something as simple as something caught in the food disposer blades. Remove the lower spray arm and filter assembly. There is a cover inside the sump that is removed and once you remove it, you will have access to the food disposer blades and pump impeller.
