Dell Trinitron P992 19?nch Flat CRT monitor Driver

Hi, Can anybody please suggest website from where I cna download approrpiate display driver for my Dell Trinitron P992 19inch flat CRT monitor? I searched through the Dell websites, but it does not show up anything (unfortunate as well as surprising). I even tried googling but could not find one. Any help will be highly appreciated, though at present I am using the Phillips driver which seems to function well. Thanks

Thanks friend. It did help to some extent, but then the refresh rate of monitor came down from 120Hz to 75Hz. Whereas with my earlier Philips driver I could keep it at 120Hz. I then updated the driver with Dell P991 driver which is easily available on websites and also within the Windows system files. Its working fine. SO I guess Dell P991 driver would be better bet for P992 monitor. Thanks a lot for the help. Cheers

Classic case of color IC going dead. You need a expert CRT technician to replace the aging IC. My recommendation is trade this CRT for a LCD, or if you have any warranty, get this monitor replaced.

My Gateway Laptop I reload windows xp on it and the display card isn't working what do i do.

Hi,

I suggest that you go to gateways website and download the driver for your video card. It would not function properly without it. If you give me the notebook's graphic card model and manufacturer as well as your notebook's, I can find the driver for you.

I have an old (5 years) DELL PC with a CRT monitor. Of late the display has on the screen appears to be vibrating a little. This is causing eyestrain. The brightness, clarity & colours of the display...

The monitor is probably faulty. To determine if the monitor or the video card is faulty, connect a different monitor to your DELL. If the image is OK on the other monitor then the other CRT monitor is faulty. Repairs to the CRT monitor may not be a cost effective solution, I suggest you buy a LCD monitor.

Hello. The menu box keeps displaying on the Dell monitor screen. I hit the exit button and it doesn't disappear. The box is fixed on the screen. What can I do? Thanks.

Hi,

those older dell CRT monitors arent of the highest of quality even when theyre new. It may be time for a new monitor. you can pick up a good used CRT monitor at the thrift store. make sure to test it i at the thrift store, they usually have a test area where you can plug in the monitor. also you might want to try a pawn shop if your interested in a newer flat screen for cheap too.

sorry

Display problem

Hi,

The problem might be with your monitor, please check it properly if it is okay and also try to check your system on another Monitor.

If your monitor is okay, then there are two possible causes:

1) There might be a problem with your slot on motherboard try to connect card with another one if your board have.

2) There must be a problem with your graphics card. If it has a warranty, do replace it ASAP.

If you have anything else to clear, please do share with me.

Kind Regards,

You could try blowing out the card slot with compressed air and/or swapping out the USB cable the runs from the monitor to the computer.

Dell Inspiron 6000 monitor display problem

Well it is most likely a issue with the Video driver as you are able to boot to the safe mode.I would suggest going back to the safe mode and deleting the present driver for the video from the device manager.before you restart the system just download the latest version from the support.dell.com so that you can reinstall it.Also check in the graphic properties which screen is set to be the defuat.Incase still not working i would suggest reinstalling the operating system before replacing any hardware.
