    what if i tell you that my husband had unplugged the phone and hooked up the coffee machine in its place and all i did was look atthe phone jack and not the plug itself .would that make me stipid? lol my phone is working and i went through all this for nothing can i get my money back?

Try this:1. Move closer to the base unit, and try again.
2. Make sure the battery is installed correctly and fully charged.
3. Confirm that the base unit’s AC adaptor is plugged in.
4. Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
5. The handset’s registration may have been canceled. Re-register the handset:

a) Handset: { MENU} i { 0}{ 0}{ 1}
b) Base Unit: Press and hold {LOCATOR/ INTERCOM} until the IN USE indicator flashes.
After the IN USE indicator starts flashing, the rest of the procedure must be completed within 1 minute.
c) Handset: Press { OK} , then wait until a beep sounds.
d) { OFF}

Your hand held unit needs to be resynced with the base unit channel to talk. To do this place the remote on the base unit. Remove power from the base unit, leave the phone line plugged in. Restore power to the base unit by plugging it in. After a minute or so, the base unit will power up and as the remote is in the base station, the two will sync up.

Now, having said that, there may be a menu item in your base unit display that you need to navigate to that actually says "Sync Remote to Base press Ok or Enter". As you navigate and find the words in your menu that are similar to what I just stated leave the remote in the base station cradle.

In all cases when a remote needs to be synced up to a base unit the remote has to be in the base unit cradle. You do not always need to find the menu item to activate it by pressing OK or Enter. But this varies among models and variations of models. This is how you will inevitably sync your remote hand held. So, give this your best effort.

The normal procedure to reset the phone is to unplug and replug it after some time. also removing the battery from its back and reinserting resets the phone completely. and if that also does not helps then its a technical error in the phone and can be repaired by service center. thanks.

Hi-

When you said you can't get it to work, do you mean your not getting any tone? or you can't use some features of the phone? can you receive calls? call your telephone line provider if you can't receive and make calls so that they can perform diagnostics to it.

    try doing this:

    De-register all system handsets by:
    1. Unplug the base power plug.
    2. Press and hold the PAGE key.
    3. Plug the base unit power plug back in and con
    tinue to hold down the PAGE key for 10 seconds.
    4. This will erase all handsets registered to the
    base. The handsets will now prompt you to:
    5. Enter the 15 digit base unit ID code, located on the
    underside of your mi 6820. If you make a mistake,
    press the DELETE key to backspace (delete characters),
    then enter the correct information.
    6. Press SEL to complete the registration process.
    7. Once a valid base ID code has been entered, the
    display will blank for a second or two, and then
    show:
    8. If the base accepts the new handset, after several
    seconds the new handset will show:
    where X is the new handset number assigned,sequentially,
    by the base.

    Follow this few steps, this was intend to register again your handset into your base

I would try a system restore as i dont know what os you have i cannot tell you how to get to it
but if you type system restore into the start search for files and folders then it should take you there then restore back to a certain date then choose maybe yesterday or the day before or back as far as when it was ok this may just work for you it will then restart itself when it is done and will say either it has restored back to or it cannot restore back to

If it dosent you could also go to device manager find the webcam uninstall it then restart laptop and hopefully windows will reload it again correctly and you should then be able to use it again

I have nokia n70..till yesterday it was working fine..it got switched coz its battery went off..today when i was chargin tried to switch it on..but the screen is nly white no display,its makind beep...


Power cycle the phone. Here's what you need to do:

1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the SIM card and the memory card.
3. Give for about 5 minutes and then put everything back.
4. Turn the phone ON.

If the problem still the same, you need to bring it to the Nokia Care Center for possible firmware upgrade.

sure...check the line, with a phone..do you have call waiting or something like that enabled..that can cause some issues, with the tone interruption to the internal modem.
