Question about Konica Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV Film Scanner

1 Answer

Out of hard disk space

After scanning a slide in at 8bits using the duallauncher we get an "out of space error" . The program runs on C: drive with 17G of available space and the data drive has 35G of room. It used to run fine with even less available space. Could this possibly be a ram memory problem? Is there a workaround if it is mis-reading the harddrive space? My HP Pavilion pc runs W98 SE v4.10.2222a with 640mb ram. The manual only lists the minimum requirements which we easily meet. Removing unnecessary resident apps does not help. Thanks, Hal.

I hope there is enough hard disk space is available in the drive/volume you are attempting to send the data. Scan in TIF compressed mode, uncompressed made uses large space.
Check if there is virus on your system. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Run scandisk to optimise disk performance.

I have been using it for years, suddenly starts to present an add same "There is not enough free disk space to complete scan..." What is it? What can I do?

Scanning require disk space in you computer. Try to remove some clean up or remove some document files in your hard drive to free some space. Check also your C and D drive jf how much disk space it available.

On my Epson Scanner I get this error message: "There is not enough free space on the hard disk. Increase the amount of free space on the disk." I have over 40GB of free space on my hard drive. Do you...

1. Using the EPSON Scan software, edit the settings to see where the program is trying to save the file.

2. Might as well check what file type is the program currently is set to save.

When scanning in the pdf mode , i get a " get disk free space error "

Reduce the scan resolution before trying to scan in pdf mode or the saved file size will be far too large for your limited hard drive space.

Scanner saying there's no disk space

Photoshop's scratch discs needed adjusting. I went to Edit-->Preferences-->Plug-ins and Scratch-discs and selected one of my drives as "first" (none was selected before). That's it! :)

Fuji frontier 550 shows error "disk free space limit reached" in error log info. but despite doing disk defragment and disk clean-up, still no prints or orders are coming out.

Your hard Drive is full.

Go to My Computer
Right Click the C:/ and go to properties
It will then show you how much Disk space is used and that is free.

You need to uninstall some old programs you dont use anymore. If you are using Windows XP go to your Control Panel and then Add or Remove Programs
Uninstall the programs you dont want.

Now you should have enough space to install your printer software.

A window appears saying "unable to scan. Be sure there is enough space in the destination disk."

Your hard drive may be getting full...
Or the account (user name) you are using on the computer does not have enough "rights" to create the output file.
Assuming it is Drive C:

Open [My Computer]
Right-click Drive C: (one time)
and select "Properties"
In the [General] tab, locate and click on [Disk Cleanup]
The system will harmlessly "scan" your hard drive to try to free up space. It is not deleting or compressing anything.
When the scan is complete, a list will appear, place a check on:
Tempoary files, Temporary Internet Files,
(do not "compress" any files)
and click [OK]
Try your scan again.

This is a temporary fix. You need more hard disk space.

Convert scanned slides to dvd

Has the scanned slides each been given a File name and saved on the Hard Drive? If yes , burn the files onto a disk from the hard driver using the file names to burn.

Won't scan - says not enough disk space.

I had the same problem. Solved it by going into the "CanoScan Toolbox" - "Settings" - and pressing the "Defaults" button in that panel - and then "OK" button. Afterwards everything worked fine. Hope this helps you.
