Re: I cant get the printer to not loose its...
There is a battery i that holds the configuration and it is mounted on the board since it holds the fomat I think the battery is ok
since it holds the format ok you are getting something ( a space or character) in the data stream going to the printer
if you put the printer in manual mode dip switch settings 1 on to and 1 on botom you can do a test print and make sure you have label calibrated sometimes if dat will not it on label the printer wi not print

In your case the soft switch will be 3-1-1 changing last bit to 0. if the code comes back do not reset as this code deals with the fuser it can catch on fire and that will ruin a perfectly good day.

You would probably need to set the printer DIP switches to print Greek, however it is quite possible that this is not possible. Get hold of the printer DIP Switch settings and check. Alternately you will have to try the exercises using a GUI operating system to print the selected font style.
16. SYSTEM RESET a. Turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF position. b. Simultaneously depress and hold the MODE and ZONE push-buttons while turning the ON/OFF switch to ON. FF should appear in the LCD display until the MODE and ZONE push-buttons are released. c. When a dip switch is turned on or off after initial configu ration, a system reset will need to be done before the Comfort Control CenterTM will recognize the updated selection. Try this. This is for the five button thermostat. Did you check the dip switches to be sure the proper ones are turned on? I need to know which stat you have 4 or 5 button. I have trouble shooting for both. If you notice reset needs to take place after a dip switch is turned on or off. The dip switches are on the circuit board. You need to drop the lower cover. the dip switches will read in this order #1 heat strip/ #2 zone2/#3zone3/ #4 zone4/#5 furnace/#6 differential/#7stag/#8 gen start. Check this out and be careful. Turn off the stat to change dip switches. On will be toward the description. If you don't have remote start gen set the dip should not be on. If you dont have a Zone 3 the dip should not be on, etc. Any questions feel free to post back Thank you for using fixya Jerry
I would like to say sorry to you I got my serial port mixed up with the parallel port. I have resolved the problem, it was a DIP switch change which needed to be set. If anybody can not get their computer to communicate with the printer then I would suggest they download the Epson Technical reference guide and read it thoroughly, but only use the guides for your method of connection which is dependent on your model of printer. I found that for a baud rate of 38400 DIP switch SW 1 numbers 7 & 8 should be switched to ON .I hope this helps some else.
Most current Pioneer car stereos needs two wires plus the ground wire to be activated. The yellow is connected to the always on B+12 such as the positive terminal of the battery, the red goes to a switched B+12 such as the ACC of the IGN switch while the black of course goes to the chassis/body ground.
Should the above been done correctly and problem persist, then perhaps the fuse may have blown, there is a loose connector at the rear of the head unit or a probable internal electronic defect has developed.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
We use a stand alone--single drive and a Jukebox with two drives. Both drives in the Juke box have 15 dips off and the #1 switch closest to the rear, switched on. The Standalone drive has all switches off. Our drives use terminators on the cable connectors on the rear of the drives.
