Question about Panasonic KX-T7453 Corded Phone

1 Answer

KX t7453 Voicemail not picking up

Have a user that when a call comes in, the system does not ask to put into voice mail, it will only allow to bounce back to operator.
Voicemail greetings are setup.
Figured a setting must have been changed to disable voicemail, but I can't figure it out.
Manual suggests hitting the fwd/dnd button, and then setting the forward properties, but when I hit the fwd/dnd on my PT phone, nothing happens.

    Thanks for the advice Carl.

I tried this and was able to get the user to go to voice mail only if the line was occupied (busy). If the line was not busy, it would ring 4 times and then direct the user back to the operator. This was the same if I used the 5 setting (no answer/busy) or the 4 setting (no answer). What's strange is that none of the other handsets in the office use the fwd/dnd button to transfer data to voicemail, they just seem to do it automatically.

Try dialing 710x 165 (#) from the intercom on your phone, where x=2 for all calls, 3 for busy 4 for no answer and 5 for no answer/busy. Once you dial it, the FWD light should blink and if you press it again it will go out.

You probably just canceled the original setting.

Carl - I'm trying to follow what you are saying, but I'm not very familiar with this phone system.

I have four lines, when I transfer a call and it is not picked up on the other end, it simply bounces back. How do I have it where it goes to their voice mail rather than a bounce back?

How do I setup my voicemail to my KXDT333 on a SECOND line (with a different voicemail if possible)?

Hello,

Dial your extension. Wait for the greeting to say that you are at your voice mailbox. This is also the "Quick Voice Mail Tutorial Set Up."

Follow the instructions provided in the tutorial. You will be asked to enter your name (or company name), password and greeting. Write down the password and keep it in a safe place.
Record other greetings, if needed. After the tutorial, you have an option to add different messages for different situations. Press "311" to change your general greeting. Use "312" to record a message for when the line is busy. Dial "315" to record a temporary greeting for when you are away for an extended period of time, such as vacation.

In addition, visit this link below and read the information on page 9. I think it will be of help.

Good luck.

Unable to leave voice mail, says good-bye

I don't think the voice mail is going bad.

On my 4424D+, I can turn off voice mail.
I use this feature when I'm gone for an extended period of time so I don't come back to 100 VMs.

Dial into your voice mail.
Choose the prompt for Call Answer Mode. (Option 8 on my phone.)
Then choose the prompt for Record Mode. (Option 1 for me.) This allows callers to record voice mails on your line.

"flash busy" message when trying to retrieve voicemail messages

It is telling you that the voice mail ports are busy and can not take another call in to the voice mail system. If the port the does not clear up after a min or two then reset the voice mail system . Unplug the power cord from the wall and let it set for a min , then plug it back in and wait about 5 min for the system to come back up , that should free up the ports .

Fwd VM from kx-t7731 each extension to the owners personal cell

Your email integration requires a TVA product with a LAN card. One comes in the 200 and it's optional in the 50. There is also a feature called message waiting notification that does not send the file, only the fact that there's a message. It requires a little bit of setup at the sytsem level, then it's adjustable at the user end by 52 and 53 commands.

Please be sure that your system administrator restricts the class of service that the VM uses to do notification if you turn it on. Many people have hacked into voice mail systems and called the world because the toll restriction was missing from this group.

If you need a manual or further instructions, please post back.

Need to set up user voicemail box (new employee)

Go back to your vendor and get the password for mailbox 999 and the instructions to log into it.

The mailbox exists or it wouldn't ask for a password (they're assigned by default), so you need to go to mailbox 999 and chose option 6 1 3 which is mailbox administration reset password. That will clear the password and you can log into the voice mail automatically from the extension by dialing the voice mail access code.

Post back if you have any problems.

New Voice Mail flashing light

What worked for me was to call my phone from another phone and leave myself a voicemail. I then went in and retrieved and deleted that voicemail. Once I hung up from my voicemail service my handsets reset about 10 seconds later.

I hope this helps!

New Voice Mail

I have FiOs and used some of the info I gathered from this page to get my voice mail working now! To set up my voice mail I called my phone number (from the house phone), then pressed * when the automated system picked up...Your prompted to use a 4 digit pass code, which is the last 4 digits of your phone number (worked for me). From there I listened to the prompts and created a new "4 digit pw" as well as a "name password" by the end of the cycle. It then allowed me to listen to the messages on the phone and delete them! Phone finally says ready on it.

Voice mail i6725 vtech phone

ACCORDING TO THE MODEL NUMBER THIS PHONE DOES NOT HAVE AN ANSWERING DEVICE. IF YOU HAVE VOICEMAIL - YOU MUST HAVE THE PHONE COMPANY'S SERVICE FOR VOICE MAIL. IF YOU HAVE A STUTTERED DIALTONE WHEN YOU HAVE MESSAGES THEN IT PROBABLY COMES FROM YOUR TELEPHONE COMPANY. CALL THE PHONE COMPANY AND ASK FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO CHANGE THE GREETING ON VOICEMAIL.
