SOURCE: how to clear a delonghi dishwasher error code 4

Try removing all dish trays and salt softner lid, check if the salt softner compartment is full of water, if so place the machine on its side and allow all the water to drain from the compartment, once this is done your machine should be good to go. This is how i resolved my problem. The salt softner is located next to the water drain filter.

Sounds as though the drain is blocked partially. E4 is the overfill code. Try cleaning out the drain.

I have a LOFRA dishwasher LOD6001/LOD60002W showing an E4 error. It started OVERFLOWING so I opened the door to turn it off. Now it will not restart.

"E4" means Error and from 1 to 5 means malfunction in water valve / sensor. E4 means defective water level sensor.

We have a Matage dishwasher Model MJD.3000AAW. There is an error message: E4. What do we need to do?

Hi, the E4 error means the water heater element does not work properly or the filter mesh is blocked. Most likely the heating element burned out/thermal fuse or Clean the filter mesh to resolve the problem.

I have e4 showing

E4 error indicate an abnormal water level which means too much inlet water (E5 also is refer at this fault).

I quote other comments/solution about this same error:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had the e4 error code and i took the outer panel off and inside behind the power button is a grey reservoir tank which measures the water that goes inside the dishwasher which actually got bunged up with **** and grease causing the floaty thing to get jammed and cause the e4 code to come on which means abnormal water level the top to the reservoir just unclips on both sides then just clean all the gooey stuff out and put it back together it worked for me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good luck.

My dishwasher says E4

Hi,

The error code E4 means selector switch pads is stuck.
First try a hard reset. Unplug the unit for 10 minutes and then switch on the dishwasher. Most cases you won't get the error message.
If you still get the error message then you need to take to service center to get it repaired. Mostly, the inner connectivity between the pad and circuit board is loose/bad.

Hope this helps.

Kenwood dishwasher

E4 means overfilled which in practice means there is water in the tray at the bottom of the machine. Lean the machine forwards and the water will drain out and clear the fault code. chances are it will fill up again so if it repeats the leak will need to be found.

The dishwasher still has water in it.  Lean dishwasher back at least 45 degrees and water should drain out through overflow pipe.  It could be caused by the dishwasher not being level.  Otherwise from reading reviews online it seems to be a common fault with this dishwasher and lots of people have returned and purchased different.
