Hi im trying to repair a panasonic Pt-53TW53G 5 blink
it wont power up just red light comes and and blinks 5 imes pattern
can you help me?
I'm having same prob how do I check the voltage?!? Thanks
5 Blinks means IC4511 thats located on the DG board which is the small board on the left side in front of the signal board looking in from the rear of the set.
You can test it if you have the service manual with the schematics, But the IC itself is not serviceable you would need to replace the DG board if the IC is defective.
IC 4511 is located on the DG board not the D board.Yes its the processor IC. Its hard to say if the DG board would fix the issue as often times it could be an input source causing the Ic to error. It would have to be troubleshot to actually detrmine wetrher the Ics is getting its source voltages or not. I would recomend getting the service manual, checking voltages and then going from there as it could be something simple that is making the IC not work such as a missing voltage input.
I wouldnt recomend buying any board without least having it checked, as a new board will not fix the problem if a missing voltage is whats causing the problem. Yes the above part number is for the DG board for your model.

is there a way to test the IC4511 with an ohmeter or is it just simple to replace and will that 100% fix the problem?
thanks
and also where can i find the part i need ic4511 you referred me to
and what is it called....
how much is a DG board for this tv and could you get me the part #
so the ic is a cpu???
yes then im sure its not serviceable......in your opinion would it be worth buying a new D-board for this tv........its in decent condition
and how confident are you that if i repalce the D-board the tv will work
this is the one with blinking red light 5 times
thanks
well simple to you but i dont have the knowledge and i certainly dont want to spend 280.00 if it wont fix it
i did look on a site that offers 30 day return policy i guess i could buy it and see if it fixes it but that is a lot of money not sure i even want to dump that much even if it does fix it
would you?
i mean would it be worth 280 if it fixes it?
its a nice tv but thats a lot of money
are you able to get me a prart # for the DG board.......is there another name for it i should be looking for if i decide to buy the board?
by the way would chacking all fuses on that baord be a starting point or would that not be a possible cause of this?
is the part also referred to as a PC BOARd
