These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. When you say power supply are you saying you took the monitor apart and replaced the board or did you just replace the cord?

I have a wd-57731 The lamp light blinked orange. i replaced the lamp turned the tv on and the timer blinks green for one minute and then the lamp light blinks orange again. It won't turn on. Can you suggest anything?

I recently replaced my lamp in my Hitachi 50VG825 TV and the red light was continually blinking for the lamp. The manual tells us to make sure that the lamp is screwed in tightly. I opened the covered and sure enough the screws needed to be tightened.

Try that and make sure you replace the tv cover. Hopefully this will work out for you like it did for me.

Did you make sure all doors and screws are back in unit biggest mistake is not putting door back on mechanism that wont let lamp light without it on please start here

Have you replaced the lamp ? Make sure the door cover is closed good because there is a switch that is made when the door cover is put back on. Also you could have a bad ballast board or bad power unit board. Just a thought...... Hope this is helpful.

contact a authiorized hitachi servicer. they will need to down load the software and load it to your set (if ther is a software upgrade)
Be aware that most sets have problems with comcast cards. Comcast would rather have you rent one of their boxes.
