Sound driver no sound driver detected....need to down load - where???????????

you can try and do a system restore to before the new updates were installed, or you can go to hp's support website and look for your model laptop and download the newest drivers. i'm trying to determine if you have an hp or an asus, since you listed under asus. either way find out what sound hardware you have and download the new drivers or try system restore.

Sounds like driver problems with your webcam, I would download and reinstall the drivers, sounds like this should should solve your issue, unless its hardware related here is a link to your driver. Acer Choose your model number of your acer spire one net-book and choose your operating system and scroll down to webcam, Down load and install the driver and user application,

Hi, you haven't said what operating system you are using, but you could try the Realtrek AC97 sound driver, its free to down load from a google search.

Hi, you need to check for problems with your sound driver. To do this go to start, control panal, system, then hardware and finally device manager. If there is a problem your audio device will be highlighted with a yellow ?. You will need to down load and install the latest sound driver for your system. If you are not sure which one; you can do a google search, or try the Realtek AC'97 sound driver, which is free to down load from a google search.

check in bios if audio is enabled and in windows check device manager if sound driver detected and installed.

Usb ports can be difficult at times, as they get stuck in a cycle from last peripheral connected. The best thing to do is go to right click on My computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager and in the harware list will be your usb controllers. right click on them individually and select uninstal, then restart your notebook and they will re install themselves, that should clear that. Next the sound, if you are unable to change anything, then the driver is more than likely corrupt. Again follow above proceedure and look down list for sound, video & game controllers, click tht'+' to Realtek drivers if thats your sound chip and right click and uninstall. Restart your notebook again and again the sound driver should re install itself.
