Our canon C3220 is not printing from one of the computers in the office. It is putting all print jobs on hold due to authentication required

Auth Required sounds odd. The only thing i could think would cause this is if the copier itself has Department Managment enabled. This is used to limit printing by quanity and sometimes restricting color prints. IF everyone else in the office is required to enter a code to print and this one does not then you need to enable department ID via the driver settings. Right Click your print driver and go to properties and select "Device Settings" from the tabs on the top of the window. Under this menu there should be a box that says Department ID select that and try it out. Another way is to "aquire" the copiers device status a button labeled somewhat to this effect should also be in that same window.3_15_2012_4_29_14_am.jpg

Hi ekse..i mistakenly clean off 2007 microsoft office home and student version 2007

Hi asaajummy

ACCIDENTAL DELETION OF MS OFFICE HOME AND STUDENT 2007

You do not say where you obtained your MS Office Home & Student 2007. If this program originally came from a Microsoft Authorized or other legitimate source with the original installation disc and Product ID and was, when new, an unused, unregistered, unactivated, genuine version but you have either mislaid or damaged the original disc, then you could beg, borrow or buy any MS Office Home & Student 2007 disc with which to re-install the program, using your original Product ID when a code is requested during the installation process. You could borrow a disc from a friend or an educational institution. You could go to a local repair centre with a comprehensive software library. You could buy a replacement disc on eBay.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/installation-and-activation-information-for-2007-microsoft-office-programs-HA010173340.aspx

If you obtained MS Office Home & Student 2007 from a third party, you will have difficulty knowing whether it is genuine, unused, unactivated and unregistered.

If you were hoping to be able to download MS Office 2007, then you should be aware that Product Full, genuine, licensed versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded. Microsoft have withdrawn downloads and direct sales of MS Office 2007 applications, the only remaining support services being updates and security patches during Automatic Updates. If there is some obstacle to your using the Product Key you mention, here are some constructive, useful, helpful, practical alternative options to consider instead. One option is to download MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial and install it, carefully following each step:

Go to: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try

If you do not want to buy or cannot afford a full, licensed copy of MS Office 2007 and/or prefer to pursue the downloading option, consider the latest version of genuine, similar free comprehensive Office Suite applications - OpenOffice and LibreOffice- downloadable free, from their original source, at:

www.openoffice.org

http://www.libreoffice.org/

You can use OpenOffice and LibreOffice simultaneously with MS Office 2010 Pro 60-DayTrial. If you delete MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial, well before the 60 day expiry date, and Remove all components of it from Add or Remove Programs (or its equivalent in your Operating System) and Restart before downloading and installing it again, it is usually possible to enter into further 60 Day trial periods. If you are determined to continue using it but there is some insurmountable obstacle to your re-installing MS Office 2007, then you might have to purchase a full, genuine, unused and licensed copy of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier, such as Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_13?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ms+publisher+2007&sprefix=MS+Publisher

Online offers of Free Downloads of MS Office products are probably almost universally either not genuine, illegal, unlicensed or pre-used licence versions, downloadable only from illicit download sites or sites that are masquerading non-existent MS Office products as camouflage for the marketing of other (often unrelated) software, products or services. Even if you do succeed in finding a Product ID or download site that seems to work for MS Office 2007, you will still have to purchase a separate, genuine, unused Activation Code for the product before you can successfully install it, use it with confidence, register it, activate it and download and benefit from Updates and Security Patches for it from Microsoft.

I hope this helps.

I dont have a microsoft word iwant to have it!

Hi nabacayan
MS Office 2007 is a program that requires a Licence before it can be used. The 25 character Product ID is a unique code that links a genuine, original MS Office CD with its original Licence. During installation, the Product ID is entered in order to be able to continue the installation. Entering the code binds the user to use the software only in accordance with pre-defined terms that appear on-screen during the installation process and that the user is required to tick to confirm agreement with before being able to proceed with the installation. Successfully entering the correct code confirms that the user has the Licence. If the Licence is unique, when the computer goes on line, the Program becomes activated when the Product ID that was entered is checked and validated on Microsoft's Licence Database by cross-referencing it with the computer's unique ID. If the validation process shows the Product ID to have previously been registered in association with a different computer, the validation process then checks how many users the Licence is valid for and which computers' unique IDs have been validated. If the validation process shows that the software is within the agreed number of validations defined in the Licence Agreement, the validation process is completed and the software is activated. Activation of the software entitles a user(s) to install and use the Program on the agreed number of different computers.

Activated software entitles the user to benefit from support and to receive online updates, enhancements, security patches and upgrades from Microsoft. During the first of such downloads after activation, the activation is verified and the computer on which the Activated Program is installed becomes authorised for the Program to be operated on it and for it receive future regular downloads unhindered. Any failure of the Validation, Activation or Authorisation processes can result in Notifications, Error Messages, Usage Limitations or Usage Restrictions. MS Office can be installed without a Licence if a Trial version is either be downloaded and installed or factory pre-installed on a new computer. At the end of the predefined and agreed Trial Period, a unique 25 character Activation Code must be purchased and entered in order for that Program to continue to be used on that computer. Entering the code, followed by Validation and Authorization put the user in the same position as the holder of a fully Authorizeded version of MS Office.

Currently, only 60 Day Trial versions of MS Office 2010 can be downloaded directly from Microsoft. And only full, licensed versions of MS Office 2010 can be purchased direct from Microsoft. Full, genuine original, licensed versions of MS Office 2010 and limited remaining stocks of previous versions of MS Office (the 2000, 2003 and 2007 versions) can be purchased from Authorised Resellers of Microsoft Products. If you buy the physical software in a retail pack from a store or an online trader, you can Register and Authorise the product with Microsoft. In the event that you had considered obtaining that the software by downloading, please note that full, genuine licensed versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded without the separate purchase of an Activation Code.

If you want genuine, authorised MS Office 2007, then you will have to purchase full, genuine, unused licensed versions of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier that still stocks it, such as Amazon (www.amazon.com). Online offers of Free Downloads of Microsoft products are probably almost universally either not genuine, illegal, unlicensed or pre-used licence versions, downloadable only from illicit download sites or sites that are masquerading non-existent Microsoft products as camouflage for the marketing of other (often unrelated) software, products or services and any software downloaded from them is likely to have Time or Usage Limitations or Access Restrictions once installed. Even if you do succeed in finding a functional download site for MS Office 2007 AND manage to complete a successful, uncorrupted download, you will still have to purchase a separate, genuine, unused Activation Code for it before you can successfully install it, use it with confidence, register it, activate it and then download and benefit from Updates and Security Patches for it from Microsoft. Another option is to download MS Office 2010 Pro 60 Day Trial and install it, carefully following each step:

Go to:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try

You can also download, install and use a comparable free Program - Open Office (www.openoffice.org). Open Office can be used simultaneously with MS Office Pro 2007 60 Day Trial. If you delete MS Office Pro 2010 60 Day Trial, well before the 60 day expiry date, and Remove all components of it from Add or Remove Programs (or its equivalent in your Operating System) and restart before downloading and re-installing, it is usually possible to enter into further 60 Day trial periods.

In the event that the software was obtained by downloading, please note that full, genuine licensed versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded without the separate purchase of an Activation Code.

If you remain unable to reconcile the software with its correct matching Licence and yet are determined to continue using Win 7 Ultimate and MS Office 2007, then you will have to purchase full, genuine, unused licensed versions of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier, such as Amazon (www.amazon.com). Unable to photo copy- error exceeded copy limit

if department code is activated it could be the key operator or copier administrator has limited or set the number copies you can make in a day/month in your account( dept id code) or the original you are copying has to much data on that (example pictures and etc.) try to reduce the number of original so that the scanner memory will not exceed its capacity.

Copy and paste document

Adobe is a readonly program. There is an Adobe read/write program but very expensive. Check with your IT department to see if they can zip the program to your home computer, if not, any document you want to edit needs to be sent as an attachment in the MS extention you will be using; ie: .doc, .exl, etc.
Save the document on your desktop, with another name and email it to your office. Don't make the changes without changing the name, the changes will not be saved to the original attachment.

Validation using Excel VBA code

Thats a lot of form work to be expecting out of Excel. You might be better off using Access, creating a table. If you need to export it back to a spreadsheet you can. The validation controls are better in Access and don't have a lot of limitations to them.

Good luck on that

User Code

You may want to print this out because it is long.
Adding codes
Adding codes is really pretty simple.
First Add a System Manager code:
  • Press the 'additional functions' button to the right of the touch screen.
  • Press the 'system settings' button ON the touch screen.
  • Press the 'system manager settings' button on the touch screen.
  • Press the 'system manager' button on the touch screen and then use the touch screen to enter the system manager's name. Press 'done' when you have finished.
  • Press the 'system manager id' button on the touch screen and use the numeric keypad located to the right of the touch screen to create the id.
  • Press the 'system password' button on the touch screen and enter a numeric password for the system manager. YOU SHOULD MAKE A NOTE OF THE SYSTEM MANAGER ID AND PASSWORD, AS THIS WILL BE NEEDED TO CHANGE SETTINGSLATER.
  • Press 'next' on the touch screen.
  • Press 'email address' to add an email address for the system manager.
  • Press 'contact information' to add an extension to reach the system manager at.
  • Press 'ok' to complete the process.
  • Press 'done'.
Next add user codes:
  • Press the 'additional functions' button
  • Press 'system settings' button on the touch screen.
  • Press 'department id management' on the touch screen.
  • Press the 'on button' on the touch screen.
  • Press the 'store dept. id / password' button on the touch screen.
  • Press 'store' on the touch screen.
  • Press 'department id' on the touch screen and then enter a numeric code using the keypad.
  • If you want additional security you can also set up a password by pressing 'password' on the touch screen and, using the numeric keypad again, enter the password. The password can be left blank if desired.
  • Additionally you can set an impression limit for that user by pressing 'impression limit' on the touch screen.
  • Press 'ok' on the touch screen to add the user.
  • If you wish to limit impressions then you must press the 'limit impress.' Button on the touch screen.
  • If you want to add more users at this time go back to step 6.
  • Press the 'done' button.
  • Press the 'off' button at the bottom of the touch screen next to 'accept jobs with unknown id.
  • Click 'ok' to complete the process and start using the copier or go back to step 5 to add more users.
After this process users will have to enter a user id to use the machine. At the end of the copying process users should press the 'id' key located at the bottom right of the keypad to logout. The machine will automatically log users out if there has been no activity for a few minutes and this can be changed by pressing 'timer settings' in the additional functions.
While this seems like a lot it actually doesn't take very long to do. There is a far more elegant set of instructions in the 'reference guide' that came with the machine, which includes pictures, and starts on page 4-2.
