Hi dylanlobey

Sounds a lot like thw wiring for the remote connection off the back of your head unit is getting fouled by the clutch pedal. I there is a fuse holder in line with the remote wiring, it may be being pulled apart when you push in the clutch. Check for this and get back to me here if you still have problems.

I have yamaha amplifier model RX-V473 no power standby. When I push on the power bitton the power led is blinking rappedly and the off.can you help me

Try pressing and holding the "tone control" and "info" buttons, then press power. This will clear the protection lock that the unit is most likely in. If it shuts back off after this, then you have a problem that will need to get looked at by a pro.

My Pioneer VSX 820K will not turn on. Son sprayed some windex on it when it was on and it shut down.

More than likely the windex fried a channel or two. If you have a DVM you can find out wich chanel or channels is bad by checking each output transistor for each channel until you find the one that is shorted.

MY SONY MHC-VZ30AV ERROR MESSAGE PUSH POWER PROTECT

It is possible that the amplifier had encountered a fault with a higher current drain which had triggered it to a protection fault condition. The fault can be your output drivers- the MOSFETS/IC's fitted for both the channels, Use a meter after disconnecting to check for short in the drivers. Disconnect the positive and negative voltages to the output and see if the protect changes. Even a fault in the preamp stages that drives in high current into the output can shut the Amplifier. Sometimes this can be a noise like a HUM or HISS before the protect works. Faulty capacitors in these circuits also can cause similar issues and needs close observation.
You need to confirm and replace the specific stages or outputs. If not there can be issues in the mother board, maybe the protect circuit by itself is shutting off due to a faulty bias , maybe a leak in any voltage/current sensing circuit. Also disconnect the speakers and test, if the protect is off then check for short on the speakers.

Thank you for using Fixya

Display shows overload and receiver shuts down

This means that one (or maybe more) of the amplifiers is shorted. Remove all speakers cables and try again. If you get the same message that means that one (or more) amplifiers is fried. To find which and why you will have to open the unit and test the amplifiers.

AVR 684 was working normally then shut off with rapidly flashing red led. Have allowed to cool overnight, tried different power sources, disconnected speakers etc, etc. Any ideas?

The unit more than likely has a fault in the power supply or the output stage. Common switching power supply problems are the FETs used for switching fail or the PWM generator fails. Output circuits can be configured many different ways. The trend these days is to use integrated high power amplifiers for each channel instead of discrete push pull amplifier stages.

Protection overload and the system shuts off

Reasons: 1. Short in the wire, speaker, or amplifier 2. Amplifier malfunction 3. Overload of the amplifier 4. Overload of the speaker
Listening to audio at loud levels requires more power obviously. But the speakers and amplifier may not be rated or capable to handle it due to age or design.

Denon AVR-4802R automatically shuts off in multi-zone mode

i had the volume of the multi-zone tuned too high and was attenuating it in an external control box. Once i took the multi-zone volume down to -25db, the problem went way. My main zone was operating around -35db so did not have the problem.
