Question about Lexmark X8350 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I upgraded from Windows XP to Vista 32 bit. The Lexmark site says I have to uninstall old version before installing Vista version. But when I attempt to uninstall Lexmark through Control Panel it does not remove it. It almost immediately wants to restart the computer. How do I get the old version uninstalled?
If you have the print driver still installed, go to "printers & faxes", right click on the lexmark printer, select properties from the drop down menu, if you are on the general tab look for the button that says print test page, print the test page and look at it for all the ".dll" files the printer installs, search for these one at a time and delete them from computer as you find them. If you dont find them then the printer is truly un-installed. Finally make sure you download the latest driver from the Lexmark site and install it.
Hope this helps,
