I have a brother AX-25 and when it is turned on it will make a fast clicking noise and then just beep no matter what until it is turned off. What is wrong with it and what do I do?

Turn off the typewriter, open the top-cover and inspect the area around the carrier for any damage or foreign objects.
2. Move the carrier towards the center of the machine.
a. When moving the carrier manually, it should be difficult to move, but it will move under steady pressure.
b. If the carrier moves freely, the drive mechanism may not be connected properly.
3. Remove the ribbon and inspect the cartridge for damage. Turn the colored knob on the left side of the cartridge to remove any slack from the ribbon.
4. Check the correction tape to insure that it has not become tangled ordamaged.
5. Close the top-cover and restore power to the machine.
If the problem persists, your machine may require service.

My typewriter is beeping ...

Beeping means a problem, printwheel not on, ribbon out or jamed, carrier not moving, maybe against margin turn on and off ans dee what happens. If beep persist, possible bad carrier or board.

Olympia Startype electric typewriter , make a funny noise and won't move carriage. Can not get it to work.

Turn it off and see if the carrier will move back and forth by hand if it will but feels a little gummy spray a little WD40 on the silver shafts that it slides on. If it won't move by hand look for debris in the carrier area.

I just accidentally dropped my typewriter. The lettering was off set and I reset it, however, there is a beeping noise coming from the typewriter.

Dropping is not a good thing. Turn it off and check the carrier to be sure it moves freely, remove and reinstall the printwheel.

Print head moves left and stays horrible noise

The problem is either something is interfering with the carrier movement OR the carrier homing sensor is broken/defective. First, turn off the power and manually move the carrier to the right side frame, check for foreign objects in the machine (pens, pushpins, paper clips etc.). Put some oil (10 weight) on a cloth and clean the chrome shaft that the carrier travels on.(by the rubber cogged belt). This is a common problem. If the sensor itself is the problem, take to a repair shop.(not common)

Carrier stays to the left

Look inside the machine and make sure nothing has fallen into it that may be blocking the carriage from reaching it's "home" position. Sometimes a lift off spool will fall off and do that.
