Question about Electrolux 23 in. ESI602 Free-standing Dishwasher

Open Question

Electrolux ESI602 dishwasher does not allow water in.

Hi,

I've recently had a problem with my dishwasher where the timer stopped rotating. I thought this was a timer issue and so replaced the timer. Afterwards the water stopped entering the dishwasher and I replaced the inlet valve thinking it was faulty. This worked for a wash cycle but then stopped working as before. I then disconnected the pipe from the valve to the reservoir again and then reconnected. The dishwasher started working again for another cycle.

I notice thats there are two other solenoids on the reservoir which look like they connect to the overflow back to the inlet valve and to a drain pipe. Is there something I need to do in order to 'charge' the reservoir or is it likely that somethng else is faulty (such as one of the solenoids).

Thanks in advance.

Jon, check that the inlet water valve works(it is an electromagnet valve, located at the pipe's entrance to the machine)). If it doesn't work, test that it get power. In case it get power and doesn't work - You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! Check as well for valve's coil resistance. In case you have no resistance measurement - you should replace it for a new one. Good luck

SOURCE: Hi, My Dishlex dishwasher DX 302WB ia showing 10

check this

1)blockage in boiler tank.(cleaned)
2)water pressure is less.(check solenoid filter)
if it's programmed in timer mode within the period it must reach the water level in the tank due to this also it may happen.

My electrolux dishwasher runs for an extended period and cleans the dishes poorly.

Hi Robert, thank you for your post! Often when a dishwasher takes too long to complete a cycle, it is because more than likely the incoming water at the sink is less than 120F, which it can delay the performance and advancement of the timer until proper water temperature is reached. Best way to ensure the proper temperature is reach, run the sink faucet until the water comes out hot before the dishwasher is turned on. I suggest confirming that the Delay Start option has not been selected and highly recommend using rinse aid to help increase cleaning and drying performance. If the instructions above do not solve the problem, I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website

Have to slam dishwasher door to make it go electrolux 4000

Hello David Horn - The issue may lie with the door latch; a door switch is used to start and stop your dishwasher. It's a safety feature that won't allow water to flow with the door open. With a faulty door switch, there is a chance your dishwasher won't start at all. Dishwasher door switches are about an inch long. They are usually black but can be red. There are metal prongs on the body of the switch called terminals. Some door switches have two terminals and some have three. If your door switch is OK, check the timer assembly. This controls when and how long power is sent to other controls on your dishwasher. If these controls don't receive power, they won't work. The timer assembly contains a motor. Check this motor as well. It is often cheaper just to replace the timer motor rather than the complete assembly. My last suggestion is to check the cycle selector switches. These switches indicate cycles for washing, drying, and setting the temperature of the water. If one of your switches is the problem your dishwasher may also prevent the unit to start. Dishwasher cycle selector switches tell the timer which cycle to run by opening and closing electrical circuits. Most selector switches are six to eight inches long. They are usually black and have terminals. By testing each one of these parts with an ohmmeter you should be able to determine why your dishwasher is not working. It is possible for other parts to fail but these are the most common parts to check. If any proves to be ineffective, I strongly suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.

My dishwasher begins its cycle with a whirring noise, what sounds like the powder drawer then clicks open, but after that nothing happens. The water does not come in. The dial clicks round a couple more...

My guess is that the inlet valve is not operating or there is no water supply to the dishwasher. If it is the inlet valve, replacement is not expensive and it is easy to get to (it is on the end of the cold water hose inside the dishwasher usually at the top.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

No water entering dishwasher electrolux 602

First is water coming into the location and is the valve to the dishwasher open? Next check if the intake hose is bent or squashed. Release the kink blocking water flow.

There is a filter in the intake hose that can get blocked by debris. Turn off the water (at the supply valve) then disconnect the intake hose. Clean the filter. Reconnect the hose and turn the water back on. Check for leaks.

The manual for the unit is available here: http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/electrolux/esi_602.html .

I hope this helps.

Main wash pump is working but wont pump out

Hello,
I guess you have checked the drain pipe outlet etc. if all is clear then the common fault on this wash pump is that the plastic blades on the pump Impeller have broken up.This is a 2 way pump one direction for pumping water to the spray arms and the opposite direction for the drain cycle. The pump will need replacing or you can buy a kit to replace the Impeller blades. To remove pump empty water out of dishwasher and take off plastic panel at rear of unit. Then remove metal plate across back of pump then extract pump and you will see how bad the blades are.

Hope this helps.

Dishwasher fault

If you have tried to run any cycle and still end up with this problem, then most likely a failed timer unit. The next step is for the water switch to enact the next step which is to start the timer.
