I have the Bosch Axxis WFR 2460 and have the problem of the "door open" fault.

I replaced the electronic door latch but the issue still exists. What else would be present in the circuit that could be broken/replaced to make the washer serviceable?

I have lots of soldering skills and can do just about anything, I just need to know where to look

I have the Bosch Axxis WFR 2460 "Door open" problem and replaced the electronic door lock. The problem still exists.

What else could cause the problem. The switch has power going to it. Is there any other sensors that are in the circuit?

I can do almost anything and have great soldering skills so if anyone knows where to start let me know.

    Thanks,
    Dave

This washer has a built in self diagnostics feature.
What you do is: With the selector knob in the off position, press and hold the "menu & select" buttons, then turn the selector knob to the "permenent press cold" until the display comes on. This puts you in the diagnostics mode, in which the last 8 errors codes will be displayed. At this point the display should read:
START-MENU T1:ERRORS
LA-Er:-------.
It gets a little hard to explain from this point on, but in my case I was able to scroll through the errors using the menu button, and I found that the were 7 errors related to the "FLOW THROUGH SENSOR".
I had already replaced the door latching mechanism without results.
Now I am going to replace the flow through sensor and see if that works, I will let you know what happens.

I have in depth information about the Axxis wfr2460 that will most likely be very helpful to owners of this machine, but I don't know how to attach it to this forum, so if you like, contact me: monahan1958@yahoo.com and I can send you the info that I have found. It explains the whole testing procedure as well as defining the error codes, which may save a lot of frustration in solving your problem.

I have this problem too. I didn't fix it but found a work around. If I push start before closing the door and then then close the door after it starts beeping and giving me the "door open" message, it starts.

When you see the DE error code, it means a "door error". This is a sign that either the door is not shutting, locking or opening. Most of the time, this is a simple fix and service is probably not needed. Check for something stuck or lodged in door. Check door gasket. Check door latch.

Hotpoint wm64s indicating door not shut program will not function cus door light flashing...however door iis shut n wont open

You have a mildly confused machine, probably the result of the fact that there is a moment where the door lock can activate, but the sensor that tells if it's shut cant because the door isn't QUITE pushed home hard enough.

First try, just give the door a whack with the heel of your hand in line with where the door catch is. It may be that simple to relocate the door and the sensor properly

Failing that, unplug at the wall and wait 20 minutes. This will, without doubt reset the machine and allow you to open it (While it is still powered off!). Open the door and shut it firmly.... I hesitate to say SLAM the door.... But slam-ish won't hurt, just don't be stupid about it!

All should be OK going forward

Whirlpool Front Loading Door leaking water

The most common cause for a front loading washer to leak from the front door is a torn or detached gasket where that gasket attached to the machine.
Open the door and begin to pull the gasket away from the opening. Look for any problems. If you find a place where the gasket is not firmly secured to the opening, you can list that area up and glue (even with super glue) the gasket back down to the metal opening.
If you find gasket damage, it will need to be replaced.

Washing machine door wont open - hotpoint

Hi,
Never reach inside the washing machine with it connected to the mains. The door interlock is always live.
There are several reasons why a Hotpoint door could be jammed shut.
•A broken door catch or door frame where the door catch screws in (they are rubbish on many Hotpoints - always breaking) you can sometimes get the door open if you push the door firmly in as you open it
•If there is water still inside the washing machine, then the door wont open either on these Hotpoint washing machines (not on some others though) If this is the case, when you try to open the door the ****** won't try to move down at all. You can open the door usually if you drain the machine. (only applicable with door interlocks that have a rubber pressure hose attached to them)
•A faulty door interlock
•The pressure chamber can be blocked on some earlier Hotpoint washing machines which gives the same effect as having water in the machine. Basically the washer "thinks" there is water in when there isn't. This would require the washing machine being stripped down to remove and clean the pressure chamber bottle. This cause is only applicable to washing machines where a small rubber hose is connected to the door interlock. This hose allows the door mechanism to be locked and unlocked by air pressure activated by water rising inside the pressure chamber bottle attached at the other end on the tub. Gunge can block the very small aperture where the pressure hose fits to the pressure chamber bottle.

Light comes on for open door even though door is closed properly

almost certain door latch contacts are not making proper contact when door is closed. Give a firm close which might rectify it. Otherwise suggest latch replacement.

Door won't open on wf000

Hi,

There are several reasons why a Hotpoint door could be jammed shut. One of them is the part you describe which is called the ******. With some older Hotpoint models, there is a cable that runs from the door interlock to the motor. When you operate the door catch or button, this part "pecks" down onto the drive belt or the end of the armature's shaft. If the drum is moving, the ****** will slip on the rotating belt or armature and disengage the door interlock. If the drum is not moving, the ****** meets resistance and the door opens. Therefore if the ****** has come off, or is loose, it can stop the door opening. When you attempt to open the door does this part move?
Other things that can stop the door opening are -

Cannot get washer door to open.

This error code indicates that the door is not locking.
Is the washer door firmly shut?
The door must be completely closed for the washer to operate. The door may look as if it's closed, but it may not be latched. Open the door and firmly close it.
Were you washing a large load?
Before you close the washer door, check for laundry items sticking out beyond the door opening. Leave enough space in the washer to allow the clothes to freely tumble. Reduce your load size if needed.
fl_doorseal.jpg To remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice.
hcz_003_web_env1.gif

If Pause/Cancel does not work:
  1. Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
  2. Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
  3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service

Frigidaire clothes washer model #FWT445GES1. The door wont stay shut, it pops open. The unit wont turn on even when I hold the door shut

I was having this problem. I thought the door catch was damaged but looked it up online and saw that it was intact. I was just about to call the repairman when I took another look and found that the rubber seal around the door was not properly seated. Duh! Almost cost me $100+ and lots of humiliation.
