Did you go online and look up this troubleshooting tip from HP?  Did you make sure the batteries are rechargeable and in the correct orientation ( + and - )? Here is the results from looking up the error code M627-435 at the HP website:
Solution

  1. Ensure that the batteries are rechargeable. If the batteries are not rechargeable, replace them with rechargeable batteries.
  2. If the batteries are rechargeable, take them out and check for obvious physical damage. If the batteries are damaged, replace the batteries with rechargeable batteries in good physical condition.
  3. If the batteries are in good condition, charge the batteries using the external charger that shipped with the camera before using them in the camera for the first time.
  4. If you have tried each of the steps above and the status message still displays when you try to charge the batteries, replace the batteries.
Cause The Batteries cannot be charged status message is usually caused by one of the following:
  • When first connected to an optional HP AC power adapter or placed on an optional dock, the camera performs a test to determine if the batteries are rechargeable. If the test determines that the batteries are non-rechargeable, an status message displays in the LCD.
  • If the battery charge falls below 1.1 volts, the camera cannot detect that the batteries are rechargeable. The camera does not charge batteries below a 1.1-volt threshold to prevent charging non-rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries discharged below 1.1 volts can be charged in an external charger.
Apparently, your batteries are either seriously discharged where you need to use an external AC charger to recharge the batteries or their damagaed and need replacing. Hope this helps.

My panosonic DMC TZ 65 has vertical loines on display screen

Welcome to Fixya

Sounds like you have a LCD screen problem and need to be replaced. Try to drain the electrostatic charge of the mainboard of the camera. Take out the battery and press and hold the power button for 15 secs. Put back the battery in and turn on the camera. If vertical lines still shows up then the problem is already the screen.

Thank you for using Fixya!

The lcd has vertical green lines on it and horizontal black lines at the bottom of the screen . i haven't dropped it or spilled anything on it. i charged the battery but needed the camera before it was...

Hundreds of lines on the lcd screen invariably means a crack. Panasonic charges $192+ and then they don't really fix it...they give you a refurbished camera from someone else.

The screen is white with some coloured lines on it.

Please make sure that you're using fully charged battery pack.
Remove the battery and reinsert after 1 minute.
Reset the camera by following the reset procedure from the manual of the Camera.
If the issue persists again, service is required

How do i charge the battery

You found my camera??? Just kidding. The batteries will likely charge through the USB, but how long depends on a lot of factors, such as USB type (1 or 2), camera type, battery type, and battery age. Overnight will definitely do it, but the only way to check the charge level is to put the batteries back in the camera and check the charge status on the screen display.

Other options:

Check with camera manufacturer on line - they may have a stand alone charger for the battery pack.

If individual batteries (e.g AA) will work in the camera, any generic battery charger will work.

You can also use non-chargeable (alkaline) batteries if the camera will acept individual batteries.

Enjoy the freebie!

Battery won't charge on printer dock any more?

I had a similar problem. If you look in the battery compatment you will see a small switch in the keyway that gets pressed down by the key (the plastic rectagualr bump out) on the side of the battery, if the battery is loose the switch does not get pushed down and the dock does not recognize the battery as a Kodak Batery that it should charge. I solved the prblem by taping a singe piece of paper on the opposite side of the battery so that when it slides into the slot it pushes the switch down, I've nver had a problem since.

Tell Canon Tech Support about this. This is very similar to an other problem where a bad batch of CCD's is the problem. The camera is replaced free of charge.

Cant charge camera on dock or print photos

the dock won't charge batteries that are ni-mh kaa2hr or Li-ion battery pack - so check that

about the printer's ability to recognize the cam, try this.. remove batt, put cam on top of dock (when cameras are on a dock, they can use the dock's power so you can print pictures without batteries) check if somethign will come up on the cam screen

if not .. either would need to be sent in for repair. a digital rep will advise you to send both so the repair center can check
