I suggest you to check the operators manual. If in case you don't have the manual, contact Grob's technical assistance or you can get a manual available online. I got old manuals from bandsawmanuals.com but they don't have available manual for 4v-36 . By the way, I like the solid build saws from Grob, what's your usual cutting workload? The blade length of the saw is 70.5" . You can get custom length blades on www.sawblade.com . You may visit sears site to get manual for that saw.

You didn't give your model.

Protech is out of business so I could not find a user's guide for you.

The knob on the front that you use to raise and lower the blade also adjusts the angle. Depending on your saw, normally the knob releases from raise/lower mode to angle adjustment by either pulling the knob out and moving it or by pushing a lever to release it and then moving the knob.
