HELP!! I have a lexmark x1185 scanner and printer. I don't have the start up disc. Could you please help me.. Sharon Coates

Scanner do not run but printer does


hi,

I suggest you;

1.) uninstall your X1185
2.) download the latest driver for the X1185 at
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+X1185
(Be sure to select the driver which corresponds to the Operating System you are running on your PC)
3.) reinstall the X1185 using the newly downloaded driver

Hi, I can help you with your problem. There is a way to do that. You will need to attach the printer to the new computer in exactly the same we it is now attached. Then you will need to download the driver from this site: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:435:0:0 Go there and select your operating system and then download the drivers. The download will ask you if you want to install the drviers so say yes. Once the drivers are installed your computer should automatically detect the printer and add it to your machine. Then you can start using it. Let me know how it goes or if you need help with any of the steps.

It sounds like there is still paper inside. Remove all paper in the tray and if all is clear. Reload the paper and push the paper feed button. If this doesn't work unplug the printer on let it reboot.
