System Error since last few days i m having error in casio digital camera EX-S2 when i start camera getting error System Error

This indicates a systems control board failure, or the systems control has detected a fault in the camera. It will probably cheaper to replace the camera considering the nature of the problem.

The best that you can do is to remove the battery and keep aside. If you have gone to the seaside or a possibility of water /sweat logging on to the camera, then try to carefully open the camera to dry up . Use a hair dryer very modestly to warm the inside, try to look into the electronic board check to see if the motors have stuck , the auto focus,door shutter. If however if there is no result the controoller IC could be defective. This might not be available but might require the assistance of the casio service centre. Unfortunately the digital camera electronic spares are not available easily due to SMD- surface mounted devices- and will require good tooling. Good day

Hi, The error comes when the 12MB flash memory on the mainboard gets corrupted. After changing the board (you can keep the sub-board and all the other stuff) it will work fine again. Desoldering only the memory chip manually is nearly impossible because of package design, furthermore you would need it format it FAT16 before.

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty. It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

A system error is a major error that needs to be sent in. There is nothing that we can do at home to fix that one. Sorry.
