Problem for IBM ThinkPad T42 PC Notebook
DVD drive not recognized as RW
Hi,
the DVD RW drive on my computer [T42] is regonized by windows [Explorer, Device Manager etc.] as such, yet when I try to burn a DVD it shows up in the burning program [e.g. Nero] as a CD RW only. can't burn DVDs.
Anybody has an Idea about that?

- when i go to burn a dvd it does not recognize the dvd-r disk it says to insert a blank disk such as a cd-rw what should i do??? PLEASE HELP- bowlinzac1

If you use the Nero Smart start, you should see an icon to switch from burning CDs to burning DVDs. Once you click this icon, you should be able to burn to DVDs.
