How to change the drum

I recently bought a slightly used canon 6260 photocopier. Unlike the 6030 model, this type is electronic based. I want to change my drum unit but I can see that, this unit has been secured with a whole lot of screw drivers in a remote compartmet. I need help on how to change my drum if it wores out

How can I solve error E214 of my canon 6260 photocopier

The error code deals with the scaner / mirrors or lamp. When you turn the copier "ON" will the scanning lamp turn on? If not your Lamp is blown or it could be the thermal fuse for the lamp, but it is most likely the lamp. It could also, mean that the Lens is not moving into home position.

Canon NP 6030 photocopier is printing all black. Cannot rectify by altering shading setting. Appreciate any help to fix ASAP. warrengevans@tadaust.org.au

Hi
If it is solid black with no hint of an image in the backround, its an exposure lamp or exposure lamp fuse. Both are not user replaceable. To check, open the copyboard(lid over the glass) and push the print button. If you dont see the lamp come on under the glass it is most likely one of the 2 things mentionerd above.

Compatible drum....

No not the 6030 it is a different type of drum (OPC)
yours is an A-SI ( silanium ) drum which is shinier, much bigger and more expensive.
