The problem of your tv is lose connection, if you know how to used soldering iron, solder your tv specially in vertical section. and check also the supply of heater.

I have a GE 27GT624. The picture is perfect but the sound went out. Both speakers work fine when hooked up to something else. The circuit board looks like a resister and an E-prom chip has tan burn marks...

The epprom chip is most likely the problem, the tuner shield will need to be resolded to the main circuit board because over time it developes hairline cracks causing the epprom to fail in a variety of ways. The chip needs to be replaced and programed along with tuner shield repair, I don't think there is a board option replacement.

No picture

Most likely you have a problem in the horizontal/high voltage circuit. If the picture was still good before it went out it is probably worth getting checked out. Thanks

GE tv 25GT240 Vertical keeps bouncing and won t stay fixed how do I stablize picture Is there a vertical knob or a way to fix this problem?

Is it like its vertical is folding over to the center of your screen? If this is it, vertical IC is loosing its connection to its board. Better to resolder it, or some component is going faulty within vertical circuit or the IC itself.

12 yr. old 25" G.E. picture fading

I gotta love it when people make up answers. There is no such thing as a "contrass module". I'm assuming the poster meant "contrast". The trouble is your 12-year-old picture tube. It's gotten weak and isn't getting as bright or sharp as it used to. Picture tube manufacturers estimate the useful life of a tube at about 7 years today. There are adjustments inside that might help some, but you need a new picture tube. It's going to cost a lot more than $60 to $75 for that. You're better off replacing the TV.

Speaker sound fuzzy

i would swap left & right speaker to verify its the speaker. if problem moves to other side speaker is bad. if only one speaker you must put external source to verify that voice coil is not bad.

Picture and sound gone

The Flyback Transformer is probably shorted to the core and shorted out the Horizontal Output Transistor. Changing both will probably fix your problem. Let me know if this helps.

I have picture and no sound

Try unplugging it for a minute. You will have to go through setup again (most likely).
Some of these sets have a (software?) issue and the audio drops out maybe once or twice a year-at least that's what I've experienced. No real fix for it.
