hi, yesterday my ipod stopped playing music through speakers. we have a bose speaker for it, and i also have an mp3 connector in my car. it used to play through both of these fine. i tried the speaker last night and when it didn't work, my first thought was that the speaker was broken. then this morning i tried the input in my car and it won't play through the speakers in the car anymore either. i can still listen to music on the ipod through my headphones but it won't seem to broadcast through any of the other things it used to anymore. any help anyone can offer i would appreciate! thank you so much!

-   My ipod with the click wheel will not play in my brand new car. It worked before I updated itunes. Now you can hear the music, but not the vocals.

The problem is the internal headphone jack has malfunctioned. To fix the problem first try doing a hard reset, then update your ipod with the newest version for it. Also try blowing it out with canned air. If this does not work and you are still under warranty schedule an appointment with a genius at your local Apple Store. If you don't have a warranty then order an internal headphone jack online and install it yourself, because apple will charge you more than your ipod is worth. Make sure you order it for your model. You can go to youtube and find tons of tutorials on how to install the jack. So good luck. This is a very common problem with ipods and is simple to fix with the right parts.

logitech mm50 portable ipod speakers...the problem is that I can't get the unit to turn off. It will still charge...but the blue light and red light won't turn off...and so I can't save a charge...I can only play my ipod plugged in, and it's annoying at night because the lights flash...how do I get my unit to work... I don't want to buy another and I like the sound on the speakers I have...can this be fixed?

I plug in my speakers to the wall and they show no sign of life. I insert my iPod into the dock and it charges but the speakers won't turn on or play music. I have done some digging and found that there should be a light that comes on when playing music (on the speakers.)
