Does anyone know if the lexmark x1100 can print without being installed into a computer
If the OS has its own driver for your product, it is not completely necessary to install the shipped software you can check to see if the operating system has instaledl its own driver by clicking control panel>printers and faxes, this should show the name of your printer if not then you must install yous software in order to print

Tips for a great answer:
Disconnect the printer from your computer.
Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the
power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30
On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
Delete the Lexmark print object.
Reboot your pc.
When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.
6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list again, then try to print again.
