Question about Tricity Bendix AW1000W Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Drum sticking Drum won't turn smoothly sounds like something stuck or sticking. Is there any way to get in to see if something is stuck? If it isn't that what else could it be? I took off the seal at the front to see if you could gain access. Also took off top cover and back cover. Made sure thefilter wasn't blocked. Daughter heard the washer as it was finishing it's wash and said it was making a whirring noise. There appeared to be a sock stuck so she thought the washer was trying to get the sock out. The sock had disappeared when took washing out. Can't find how to see where it has gone.

I have azanussi zwf1437w washing machine. The drum has become stuck and won't turn and can't be turned by hand. There are no socks etc stuck between the inner and outer drum that I can see.

Well, I hate to tell you, but the drum will have to be looked at and that means opening the machine up. It probably dislodged from its mounts from excess vibration caused by unbalanced loads in the drum.

My washing machine's drum is making a scraping sound when turning

There are two different types of "drum balancers" manufactured into washing machines today... One is a disk type (most washers with this have 2-6 depending on age, manufacturer, and quality), the other type is a self-balancing style. It sounds like you need to order some new drum balancers. The repair will take approxmiately 1-3 hours depending on if the it is a front or top-loading machine.
Hope this helps, James

Grinding sound - drum turns then nothing - just grinding sound until E20 warning.

Can you turn the drum by hand.E20 relates to a fault with either the pump or the filter or drain may be blocked, check the filter is clean and the pump can be turned by hand, its up at the end of filter housing and can be seen depending on the model. If the drum cant be turned freely then you have something stuck inside the drum.

Hope this was helpful.

My WD440 has trown its drive belt and something

it sounds like there is a sock or something simular stuck between the drum and tank, the paddle is removable which may help you hook out the item,if you grab the drum paddle from the rear and pull it towards you it will then lift up,once you have removed the offending item, you just line up the slots on the drum with the pegs on the paddle and push towards the rear of the machine and you will here a click, this means the paddle is secure.

Drum will not turn.

Sounds like you've got something stuck in between the drum and tub the best way to check is through the heater at the rear of the machine. Could also be the motor or drum bearings have seized if its the drum bearings there's usually brown oil coming from the back of the drum. Take the belt off to see if either the drum or motor can be turned manualy. hope this helps.
