I have a Acer Aspire M1610 and speakers not working was going to buy a new sound card but not sure which one ? can you help

Hi, you can download a new audio driver here at acer:

http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=342

Please select your operating system 32 or 64 bit.
The driver needs to be unziped before installation.

Make sure the volumen is not set off or turned down low.
And connect the jack stick to the GREEN outlet and make sure
the speakers are on.

The sound card is a PCI card and are available in any
pc and computer store.

If you not do much in installing drivers
visit a computer repair shop.
I am sure they can help you with that.

Hope this will help you.

Picked up a couple 1 GB sticks of memory to add to my Acer Aspire 5002 series laptop. Other than plug-n-pray do you know of anything else I need to do to install it? Thanks muchly!

As long as they're the right format and a proper speed for the motherboard in the laptop, there's nothing else you need to do.

Hi,
You need to install the chipset drivers before it will take the audio driver.
Go here to Acer support, download and install the chipset driver, then you can install the audio driver >>>>>>>

Directions to install additional RAM on an Acer Aspire.

Ok firstly, ensure you have the correct speed memory stick for the Acer and that it can handle to new total memory capacity you plan to put in. My searches revealed the memory you need is PC2700 and that the notebook can take up to 2Gb total, but again check this with your supplier or look at the RAM memory stick(s) already installed. As for installing them, here is a good YouTube Video:

Please rate my response if it works for you.
