Yaesu Ft-60R with Kenwood TK-3107

I am using Yaesu FT-60R with Kenwood TK-3107. It seems that I can receive from TK-3107, loud n clear, but when I transmitted from my FT-60R, Kenwood TK-3107 could received the signal but the voice could not get through. I was told that Kenwood TK-3107 has CTCSS/DCS/DQT/QT.. I can't find the correct tone(from web) to get through the CTCSS

    Hi Benimur,

Thank you and really appreciate your advice. I tried without CTCSS to tune to the correct frequency. However, the Kenwood TK-3107 came with pre-programmed CTCSS from the factory. I just need to find the correct tone for TK-3107 to break the CTCSS.

Hi,

Initially and the simplest probably would be to use the units without enabling the CTCSS or any form of encoding (turn this feature OFF). In the meantime, will check the specs and post if anything concrete comes up.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi again,

The closest I can get is the user's manual for a TK3100. Page 11 details QT codes with their corresponding standard signaling codes from the original 38 PL tones as well as their equivalent frequency in Hz. Since to my knowledge the TK3100 would require a PC interface and a software (KPG-22 & KPG55D) to change most settings, it may be that the Yaesu FT-60R be made to change and follow what the Kenwoods are using.

Hope that this work for you. Regards from DU land.

Yaesu 270 not transmitting nor receiving

Hi this can be down to many reasons, radio keypad locked, receive on tone squelch, set on "Relay" or "Repeater", or even radio failure. Without the radio I cannot help, but that may give you some ideas.

Tk-3107 but can't talk to my friends who already used tk-3107

there are to many options to solve, And to few information given by you
1 first turn on the sound knob (most likely)
2 read the channels of you're equipment and those of you're friends
software is all over or use an old radioscanner or freq counter.
3 put new software in all the equipmant. Easiest way

Dead Yaesu FT60R

There is probably an internal fuse which has blown. Send it to the Yaesu service center for repair. They're reasonable and will do good work...

I have a yaesu ft-736r with no audio

Hi Jermaine,

It transmits, but no receive, are you sure, have you tried playing around with the volume control?

If, so did that make any crackling noise? If so, then this is due to lack of use of the volume control, many radios, including the old transistors with dials, would make crackling sounds when you adjusted the volume, and as I say, this is due to lack of use, So if this is the case and to get your receiving, turn the volume control up & down fully for a few minutes and while doing so your radio might receive a transmission that will be loud, quiet, loud, quiet, etc., as you play with the knob.

Keep doing so until all crackling has disapeared.

Do this often as possible when firing up your radio for the day, the more use these controls get, the better.

I hope this has answered your query.

Cheers,
Peter
