Canon has a decent trouble shooting guide for this model: http://tinyurl.com/rgu6o Click on the Step-by-Step Troubleshooting link under Tech Support Unfortunately for this error code, all it says is this: Turn the machine off, and remove the power plug from the outlet. About ten minutes later, plug it in again, and turn the machine on. If the problem is not resolved, the machine may require servicing. Please contact your local Service Center.

Mine did the same thing constantly. Had to get a replacement. Service could never fix it.
