Problem for Canon Pixma MP500 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Error message
Every time I turn on the MP500 the screen displays the message "Error 5010". It is brand new and was working fine when I installed it yesterday.

Unfortunately for this error code, all it says is this:
Turn the machine off, and remove the power plug from the outlet.
About ten minutes later, plug it in again, and turn the machine on.
If the problem is not resolved, the machine may require servicing. Please contact your local Service Center.
