Re: mouse not working
Try disconnecting the Mouse from the USB port
and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you
to connect the Mouse to the USB port, do so and it should work.

ok then plug a usb mouse then restart the computer
got to the computer manufactures website and look for support to download the touchpad driver , install it, disconnect the usb mouse and restart the laptop i if it sttill doesnt work its probaly the touchpad that needs replaced.
The cursur moves from the sensory pad, if the pad went out the cursur will not move.. I would start by installing an external wireless mouse or even a basic plug in mouse to the usb port and see if you can cntrol the cursor then. Cheap wireless mouses with a small included usb donggle can be used in place of the sensory pad cursor
You need to install the drivers that came with this GE optical mouse so that windows can properly install and identify the new mouse. Pop the driver cd that came with the new mouse into the cd drive and follow the instructions. If you need more help, let me know ok?
1.Put in the batteries Find the battery cover and slide it off. Insert the appropriate batteries.
2.Plug in the receiver to the computer. Usually the receiver will plug into the USB port, but some plug into the mouse port. If all of your USB ports are filled, see if the mouse came with a USB adapter. The adapter fits into the mouse port. Be careful not to accidentally force the mouse adapter into the keyboard port.
3.Connect the mouse once you have it plugged in. The receiver should have a visible button that is easily pushable by the average human finger. The mouse will usually have a very small hole with a button inside it that can only be pushed by something like a pencil or paper clip. Push both buttons at the same time with the receiver and the mouse relatively close to each other for about 5 seconds or more.
4.Position the receiver in a place that isn't far away from the mouse. Depending on where you are, you can place it on the monitor, on the tower, on the back of your laptop (if you are installing the mouse to your laptop) or on the desk. The furthest a wireless mouse can get away from the receiver without not working very well is about 9 feet (2.7 meters), so keep that in mind.
5.Test your new mouse.
* If you plugged into the mouse port, restart your computer manually. * If you plugged it into the USB port you may begin using it. * When the cursor moves when you move the mouse, you have connected the mouse properly. If the cursor doesn't move, try repositioning the receiver. If it still doesn't work, you may need to restart your computer (if you haven't already) or reconnect everything.
When you plug in the mouse you need windows to pop up and say found new hardware,and it will install a generic driver. I would shut down and restart and then plug it in again, if this does not work try installing the driver from disk that came with mouse, unplug mouse, install,plug it back in and try it. Hope it works for you.
Before you plan to return make sure you have done some or all of this things first:
1. Did you reboot after you installed the Enterprise 2007 ? 2. Did you make sure that if its a USB mouse that it is securely connected to the USB port ? 3. Were you able to move your mouse without any problem at all before the software installation ? 4. Have you had this problem before the installation of Enterprise 2007 ? 5. Have you done all your software and windows updates ? 6. Will the mouse work when booting into Safe Mode ( pressing F8 during re-boot before Windows Vista loads) If it does then your softwares need to be updated. 7. Did you check you device manager to see that theres no yellow exclamation anywhere in the Mice and othert pointing devices or under the USB controller section? 8. Is there a legacy USB port to be activated on your computer BIOS ?
If the installation caused your mouse to be frozen then try and uninstall the Enterprise 2007 by using your keyboard and tab to the programs uninstall.
If your mouse still doesn't move after doing all of the above things then try another new USB mouse. Sometimes you may have to wait for several seconds (even up to a minute for new usb mouse detection) before the USB mouse cursor will move. If the second new USB mouse still wont work then return it to where you bought it as it could be faulty usb connector
