Officejet 9600: vertical lines (4) in center of page when copying using ADF. No lines when copying from glass. I tried the cleaning procedures on your trouble shooting pages. They did not help. How ca

When using the ADF, the scanner doesn't move. The long rectangular platen glass on the left side of the machine is used, not the large glass. I believe that if you clean the long, thin piece of glass on the left side of the platen, your lines will disappear.

"Unable" to Clean pg 11-4
try starting by unplugging power and usb for 30 ~60 seconds to cancel out possibility of software conflict glitch ,

possibility of fax in progress,

and also try re-seating ink cartridge,

WILL NOT PRINT INCOMING FAX

The machine USUALLY tells you you are low on ink. It 's possible one or all cartridges are dried up.
