Question about InFocus LP 530 Multimedia Projector
I have a Infocus LP530 with 280 hours on it (total) just recently I noticed a prismatic multicolored "c" in the upper left corner of the screen (Celing mount) as well the zoom or screen size adjustment ring will not turn but the focus ring works fine it seems as if something has jammed in the lens mechanism. Is this something worth repairing or should I just save the bulb and buy another unit on EBay.
Thank you in advance for any help,
Sounds as if you have some sort of foreign body within the unit possibly an insect I know this sounds strange but I have removed Mice from sets before now ?. How they get in is a mystery but they do and they can bung up the works .
A less helpful reason is that heat has caused some plastic to crack and drop into the lens mechanism , I have had that happen a few times usually from off the fan blades above the lamp now inverted on celling mounts puts the fan under the heat . An inspection by a qualified engineer may be the first step then decide what to do when you are told the cause ?. .. Regards Vortash
