Please post your motherboard complete type/model so that we can help find the driver for you.

Usually it's printed in huge font at your motherboard near the processor socket or somewhere around PCI slot.

Every time I run the DSL-504 ADSL2 Ethernet Router CD disc to setup my internet connection, always get the dslultility.exe message say "modam not deteched....." but everything is...

To release and renew IP address, go to Start > Run. Type in CMD and press Enter. At the prompt, type in ipconfig and press Enter. This will display the adapter information such as IP address, Subnet mask, and default gateway.

To view additional information such as Mac address, DNS servers, etc, type in ipconfig /all.

To release IP address, type ipconfig /release.

To renew IP address, type ipconfig /renew.

If you are not able to get an IP address try setting one statically:

Windows 2000

Step 1 Right-click on My Network Places and select Properties.

Step 2 Right-click on the Local Area Connection which represents your network card and select Properties.

Step 3 Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties. Enter your IP information for your network.

If connecting to a router, make sure the default gateway and a DNS server is the IP address of the router (192.168.0.1).

Windows XP

Step 4 Click on Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network connections.

Step 5 See Step 2 for Windows 2000 and continue from there.

I dont now the ip adress of my computer

Click "Start" then "Run" (for windows xp, if your computer's running windows vista or windows 7, then search box) and type in "cmd" in the Run/Text box, press enter and on the command prompt, type in "ipconfig/all" [without quotes] again press enter, you'll see all the ip address related to your network, the one that shown Ip Address is your ip address. [if your connection type is both Lan and Wan, the you'll see two "IP Address"s] since you didn't mention the purpose and what you want to do with it, I can't make it specific.

If you need further help, let me know with more details.

Good luck.

Assuming that you have Windows XP, let's check some settings for the network connections. Click on start - settings - control panel - network connections. First we'll check the ethernet connection. Right click on local area connection - properties - choose Internet protocol (TCP/IP) - properties. In case of not at automatically settings click on both buttons to "obtain an IP address automatically" and "obtain DNS server address automatically". Click on OK at both windows. Now we will chect the Wi-fi connection. Right click on Wireless connection - properties - choose Internet protocol (TCP/IP) - properties. In case of not at automatically settings click on both buttons to "obtain an IP address automatically" and "obtain DNS server address automatically".
Click on OK at both windows and check for the results.

How to enable WPA security. i tried to enter the http://www.192.168.0.1 but the page is not showing theres no admin page.help pls

Try http://192.168.0.1 - you don't enter www. in front of an IP. Check that this is actually your routers IP address by doing Start > Run. Type "cmd" without the quotes and press Ok. In the black window that pops up, type "ipconfig" without the quotes. You'll see something like this:

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\root>ipconfig

Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:

Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected

Ethernet adapter Bluetooth Network Connection:

Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected

C:\Documents and Settings\root>

If your Default Gateway Value is 192.168.0.1 then you're good to go, otherwise this value will be what your routers address will probably be.

Sounds like an IP address problem. Your IP address on both the NIC card (DFE 530) and the router have to be in the same address range. You can do this 2 ways. 1... Have your router hand out addresses automatically. Make sure DHCP is enabled and that you have at least one address available for it to give out. ie. 192.168.0.2 through 192.168.0.3. The first three number must be the same as the router. The other option is to manually set your IP address on your nic card to match the router. If the router is lets say 192.168.0.1 then you can assign 192.23.34.2 to your computer NIC. If you haven't been able to access your router then check your router manual to find out the default IP address and use the same number for your NIC changing only the last number. The largest number you can use is 255. Hope this helps.

Computer will not recognize drivers for ethernet card

Was this all working just fine prior to reinstalling the system on the computer. I want to first rule out any hardware connection problem. When you check the ethernet adaptor in the device manager, does any punctuation mark appear next to it to indicate a driver problem? if not, your problem is not driver -related, but rather settings. If the LAN connection appears in the manage connections or the connection wizard, you may only need to enter the correct settings to make this work. Make sure TCP/IP is enabled for the device, and that DHCP is enabled in the TCP/IP settings. The exception to this is if the modem does not assign an address by DHCP but is instead set for only a static address. If that be the case, you will need to enter a static IP address in the TCP/IP settings. In that case, look for a number on the modem in a xxx.xxx.x format, enter the number in the TCP/IP static IP address but adding 10. If the address is static, you will also need to enter a default gateway, which your ISP should have provided to you, along with the static address

If you find my suggestions to be helpful, please share with us some details so that others may benefit from knowing the whole story. Thank you!.

Dont have the CD to find my ip address

click on START - RUN - in the text box type CMD (this opens a DOS looking window so you can see the IP address before it flashes out of your sight) - at the command prompt type IPCONFIG
-- this will show you your IP address, it should look something like this:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff>ipconfig
Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 6:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : domain.invalid
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.254.1 <-----------YOUR IP----------<<<<<<<
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.254.254
