Philips GoGear SA3345 (4GB) Media Converter 2.5 to converter ERROR

Alright.
I hope i can explain it well.
I was using Media Converter 2.5 to converter the video to my Ipod.
While i was almost done doing all that i just needed two more videos.I try doing it with another video but the video would keep stopping. so i try again and again I had to wait for it to get to 100% but it kept stopping to 60 or 80% then it would freeze.I would have to close it then re try again. When it finally was done i would check if the video had been transfer to my Ipod but the thing is, it did but more then 1 time.So i erased the 2 extra and kept 1. I wanted to put other videos too but every time i would open the media converter the video i had already downloaded to my Ipod would suddenly start transferring by it self again! I would cancel it but then it would freeze. When i try yet again to transfer another video the same video i had already transferred would start transferring AGAIN.What i try doing to fix it was to erase "that" video that kept wanting to re download it self to my Ipod. Then i re download it to my Ipod to see if it would stop...But then, when i checked..the media converter downloaded the video like 148 times and made the rest of my videos and music i had on my Ipod get errors i coulden't see their names and it had these extra song files and video files that had no name and i didn't even download.I couldn't erase them thru the Ipod so i tryed opening the folder of the Ipod on my computer to try to erase them thru there but when i opened the folder the files didn't have names and i couldn't open them.
Then when i try again looking at my Ipod to see what had happen it just froze..I turned it off to see if it would help ...But..when i try turning it back on it..It doesn't want to at all.its just a black screen. It won't turn on at all.

Whats going on. :(

Plz help.

Disable Auto-Sync in Windows Media Player 11 – go to Microsoft's website for pictorial demonstration

Major Symptom: The Mp3 player is adding songs that I don’t want onto the player

Major Solution:
Open Windows Media Player WITH the mp3 player connected
Move the mouse cursor over to the Sync tab
Click on the tiny black arrow underneath the word “Sync” to bring down a drop-down menu
Select Set Up Sync (this option will not appear if your mp3 player is not connected to the computer)
Uncheck box that says "automatically sync files to device"
Click OK to finish

Voila! You are now set up for manual sync instead of auto-sync.

I have a different GoGear model (6330), but the same problem. So the solution I found may work for you, too. In my case using WMP or Rhapsody, album art was being placed in a folder on the device called Albums, when it needs to be under Music in the same folder as the album it goes with. Album art files should always be called "Album Art.jpg" and are 170 x 170 pixels. They can be manually copied or moved to the correct location by just opening the GoGear as a "drive" in Windows Explorer. Hope this helps!

Does the GoGear SA3245/37 Player support WMA with DRM? Mine gives a File Format not supported error. If there is an update for this, I can't find it.

File Format is SMV for videos

To add videos to this player you need to use the software Philips provided. It's a bit complicated to use so follow the instructions carefully. The software will convert the videos to a Philips format to enable you to add them to the Video Folder. You can't just add a file as this will not work, it needs to be converted.
Hope this helps you.

About convertor

Normally the software ( a micro cd) comes along with the go gear. If you have not reccieved it please check if the items had been misplaced. If not go to the Philips website searching for software for gear media convertor, download the file and install into your PC for converting all the files to be loaded into your gogear. I think there is the version idicated in the site against the compatable models. This should work alright. I hope this adivce helps you. Good day

How do you load movies on to the philips gogear aria?

Almost same as with the any sanza mp3 player

but instead of Sanza Media Converter you need Media Converter for Philips
1) download "Media Converter for Philips"
2) install the download
3) sync your Philips gogear with your computer
4) load "Media Converter for Philips"
5) Drag videos to the converter
6) click convert

the videos will automatically be transferred to your gogear in from there

Philips GoGear SA6045 need video support

All support for SA6045:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=SA6045/02&slg=en&scy=GB

Media converter software should be used to make the video files
appropriate before transferring them to the player.
The Media Converter Software zip file is under this link:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa6045_02/sa6045_02_mcs_eng.zip

Note:
First check the format of the video files that can be converted in the media software. Remember that not all videos can be
transferred, having copy rights sometimes.

Carnt watch videos on my gogear mp4 player

When in doubt, do what the message says.

You have to use the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter to convert/transfer videos. If the converter is not recognizing a specific video type - FLV, for instance - download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder and convert the videos to AVI format first. Then the Philips Media Converter will recognize them.

The Philips Media Converter is not capable of converting an entire DVD - you will have to acquire video editing software, and then break up the DVD files into 15-minute chunks, and then convert each chunk.

If you are getting a codec error, do a google search for free video codecs - they are out there. Windows Codec Pack and downloading the latest version of quicktime will give you most of these needed codecs.

This player is not capable of playing copyright-protected videos - so don't even bother with them.

Additional information is available both from Philips website and from Arcsoft's website.

Philips GOGEAR 4 GB mp3, unable to download videos to it

Merry Christmas Leo! Just got a GoGear for my son and my daughter. I used the bundled application to convert a DIVX AVI file to the Philips GoGear format. Then just open the Windows Explorer, locate the Video folder on the Philips (which should show up as removable drive). Then copy the file over as you would any other data file.

FROZEN On NON SUPPORTED FORMAT DETECTED SCREEN

Reset the player by inserting a paerlcip into the reset hole. If that fails, go to Philips' website and upgrade the firmware on your player to solve the freezing issue permanently. Actually, don't go to Philips website - run the Philips Device Manager and select Update. If the device manager won't recognize the player, unplug the GoGear, hold in either the shuffle button or volume + and reconnect it to the computer until a Found New Hardware Wizard window pops up. Once all this is done, use the Philips Media converter to convert all your video files from now on.
