Question about Samsung Televison & Video

LCD TV Model LNS3238DX/XAA, S/N AFQ3CRL800704D, Version AM01

Object struck LCD screen. Picture now looks like a shattered pane of glass! Have no visable marks on surface.
Is this worth repairing? If so, to whom shall I take the set?

Unfortunately this indicates that the LCD panel itself is cracked. This can not be repaired, only replaced. Call around to get a cost of the replacement panel. It would not surprise me to find that the replacement panel cost exceeds the cost of an entire replacement TV.

HLT5055WX/XAA turns on then turns off. About 2000 hrs on Philips replacement bulb

That is near or past the normal life on the lamp---2,000 hours or 2 years is normal---I would remove and look at the lamp---if shattered you know and also look the pillar of glass inside the lamp is not bent or warped etc.

Picture tube is discolored almost like a shattered glass appearance?

That shattered looking glass effect is your LCD panel shattered. Your panel needs to be replaced. Would be more cost effective to replace your TV.

Put it on Ebay and buy a new TV as the LCD Panel will cost you more than this model currently sale for.

LCD Sanyo screen looks shattered

The inner glass plate inside the screen is broken. The glass inside of these is very thin. I think it is only a few millimeters thick at the most.

The complete screen must be replaced to fix the fault. It will probably be cheaper for you to buy a new monitor rather than replace the screen!
