Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
Okay... we need some more information..
XP, Vista? What Printer? How old? Is software already installed for printer? USB printer?
The blue screen. Recreate the problem.. there should be something along the lines of a description across the top of the screen that says some technical information.
If you want.. just type the stop code.. for example Stop 0x000000.. (just an example) If you ANYthing that has a files name.. like blahblah.drv or blah blah.dll... type everything in on that line here.
The problem is most likely..
A bad driver in windows
A faulty printer
A faulty USB cable
A broken usb connector on your laptop that has a short.
but the most likely is a faulty driver.
Try downloading the latest driver from the manufacturer's website.
Dont' call support.. they'll drive you nuts.... Hp's site is pretty easy to navigate.
Dells site is not bad either..
lexmark, epson, canon... not bad.. but you need to be sure of where you're clicking.
Best wishes... waiting for your response. www.techvisitor.com
