Check the paper path for any and all debris. Use canned air to remove any debris. Also check the paper tray guides to see if they are matched correctly.

Clean the pick up rollers with alcohol. They need to be really grippy.
If it's folding the corner of paper I expect there is a bit of torn paper stuck in it.

You may have the "separator page" option turned on in your print driver. This option will insert a blank page after each print job to separate one print job from another. Simply uncheck the box by the separator page option and you should be back to normal !

Xerox Phaser 5500 will only print if started in the manual tray.


Check your printer setup/default settings on the printer. Make sure you are using the right paper in the trays and that they are set properly to the proper paper tray & size. You have to have it right in all locations for it to work right, or it will default to by-pass tray. 1st in the settings, 2nd in the trays, and 3rd in your printer software. Good Luck!!

PRINTING ERROR

Solution --> ERROR 0082" name="Note" /> Phaser 790 / DocuColor 2006 Printer's: Cancel print job and cycle the printer's power

  • On the printer's Control Panel, press the Cancel Key (12 KB).
    Note: The READY message may only appear briefly. You may need to keep repeatedly pushing the CANCEL key.
  • If the error message persists, turn the printer off for at least 30 seconds and remove the computer interface to the printer (17 KB) before turning the printer back on.
  • Use the menu keys to perform a front panel reset (under RESETS menu).
  • If the printer redisplays the error message upon reboot, a file is likely STUCK at the front of the print queue. Use the front panel RESETS menu to CLEAR LOGS AND QUEUES, which will delete all print jobs in the printer's disk spool.
    Note: The READY message may only appear briefly. You may need to keep repeatedly pushing the MENU key to gain access to the front panel menu.
  • If the front panel menus can not be accessed turn the printer off for 30 seconds and then turn the printer back on.
  • If it is known which print job was last sent to the printer, try to reprint the last job spooled, which may be the cause of the error. Step 4 on clearing logs and queues may need to be repeated to eliminate the crashing job.
Note: Most XX82 or XX1E front panel error messages are NOT hardware related, but caused by a specific print job or application.

Phaser 8560 won't communicate with me or my computer


What you can try is making sure the ink sticks are fully in the loaded position. They may be keeping that cover from closing totally.
The other thing is the actuator on that cover, may have briken off and is not properly actuating the sensor that tells the machine the cover is closed.
Make sure the ink is fully forward, and look at the covers for some area of beoken plastic.

Will not print multiple collated two sided publications without individually sending each job


I would try changing the driver you are using. There are multiple drivers and it really sounds like that will resolve your problem.
For the drivers go to Xerox.com.
on the tool bar select Support and Drivers.
Then enter your printer number, being phaser enter phaser 7300 in the search .
Select your operating system and there will be PS and PCL drivers.
I am 99.9 percent sure the issue is in the driver.
