Question about Philips PPF-531 Plain Paper Thermal transfer Fax
There is no dial tone through the handset. When you try to send a fax you get a "No Loop Current " error.
Check the line cable. Try inserting that line to another telephone unit. And if there's still no dial tone the problem is on the line itself. You should call your line provider. But if the line is ok, check the LIU connectors if it is inserted correctly. It the connectors are ok, then the possible problem is on the tel. line circuit on its mainboard.

I have checked the line cable and other telephone line found no problem. I also cannot make phone call from my fax machine. The dialling tone still can be heard even I have dial the telephone number. Would it be better to replace the fax machine ? I just use it for 1 1/2 years.
